Reborn seeing double?
Return to board index
Am I right to assume that if my main was to craft a whole series of one of the reborn weapons for an alt, then I would have to make two? One for the alt and then another for my main in order to craft the next one in the series?
Yes? The previous Reborn tier is a material in the recipe of the new Reborn tier. So if you make the first one (463) and send it to an alt, who then equips it (thus Soulbinding it), when it comes time to make the tier 2 Reborn (476) you won't be able to get that tier 1 back from your alt to use in the recipe. So you'll need to make another. Or buy another tier 1 off the AH/another player.
Is that what you mean?
Yeah that's what I thought. That's a bit &*!@ty! So many mats to farm to arm your other characters. I guess that's the point. I would prefer an achievement or something to prove u have crafted it once to allow u to go on to craft the next tier
Because it'll bind once you equip it, then yes -- you'd need to make more than one if you want to both use one for your alt immediately
craft the next weapon in the series.
But if you don't mind waiting a little, you can easily just make one. Use it for crafting until you've reached the final version, at which point you won't need to use it as a mat any more. You can then send it off to your alt for use with no need to craft extras.
If the weapon is soulbound to the crafter, can u still make the next tier? Or does it have to be in BoE still?
As long as the crafter is the one it's soulbound to, you can still use it in making the next tier. And despite the soulbound materials, the resulting weapon will be BoE again.
That's what I'm going to have to do Eliryn.
Good luck with your crafting!
One last thing: you might need to make sure that you unequip the weapon (so that it's back in your bags) before you try to craft the next one. I've already upgraded one Reborn weapon that I had been using, but I can't remember if the pattern recognized the weapon while still equipped.
