Brawler's Guild - Bruce
Return to board index
Good god. I just tried this fight on my tank druid, and I made the mistake of not having DBM active, so I wasn't aware of the threat he posed. I got my butt handed to me in about three seconds, and came to a browser to see what I was missing.
Wowpedia has this to say about it:
Nearly all encounters in the Brawler's Guild have a two-minute limit, as the arena itself will kill challengers with a hail of fire as the timer comes to an end. Bruce is no different, and to defeat the crocolisk in time, 13,000 DPS will be necessary.
Now, I haven't been doing a ton of heroics since I hit 90. But I can hold my own in them, and most mistakes that get me killed are due to not knowing the boss fights. My ilvl is 440, and my DPS in bear form is 4,481, with Mark of the Wild on. I can't even fathom how to get from that to 13k. Do I really need it that high, or do I just need to run some more heroics and gear up a bit more, and then know what I'm doing when I go into Brawler fights?
Brawlers guild fights are for DPS specs - even if you manage to get past Bruce in tank spec you wont progress much further in Bear form because of the time limits
Ah. That makes more sense. But even my 90 hunter, who has slightly better gear than my druid, has under 5k DPS. I guess I really just need to run more randoms.
study the proper rotation for your spec
Seriously, I'm not trying to sound elitist here, but I don't see how your DPS can be
low unless you're just doing something
. My ilvl 440 survival hunter does almost 40k.
I was actually looking at the dumb DPS number in the character pane, rather than something like Recount. I've since corrected some talents and a bit of gear, and I can hit about 25k on average (by Recount's reckoning).
