when a character (troll, human, elf, orc etc) dies in Warcraft canon lore, does their soul/spirit teleport to its afterlife or just travel there?

No one knows; just as no one knows if there is actually a Afterlife or not in the Warcraft universe.
Look, rather then making new threads about the same topic over and over, just use our
General Lore Thread
please.

What would you assume then? Would they teleport or travel?

Jomofo, why is this so important that you keep bringing this up? Is it really worth all this effort you've put into asking us, when we really just don't know?

I wouldn't assume anything, since nothing lore wise supports this idea even exists.

So what are the reasons lore wise that make you say there's no afterlife in Warcraft?
And what about all the ancestor spirits the orcs and trolls talk to?

Jomofo, Give it up. We have absolutely no idea other than that A: There's somewhere bad people go to that slyvannas shoving valkyr in to keep herself alive, and B: That there's ghosts.

Because 1) It's never been stated that there is one and 2) The ancestor spirits and the Loas are still on the planet; they don't go to a new place.

So what if they don't go to a new place? It's still an afterlife.
And how do you know that Orc and Troll spirits reside on the planet, maybe they are summoned to it?

Not really; they are still on the planet, still interacting with the Shamans and the Speakers. And we are told multiple times during questing and other lore sources.
Please for the love of Naaru, rather then asking the same question over and over and over and over again: Go read the books, go read through Wowpedia, go read the stories on the official forums, go do the quests in game.

Care to show me any sources where it says that the spirits of orcs trolls and Tauren use the planet as their place of residence?
If this was the case then Bwonsamdi (the Loa who watches over the dead trolls) would have a flock of Troll spirits/souls swarming him, whenever he appears. But that's not the case. It's most likely that the deceased do not live on the same planet and are "summoned" to it, whenever needed.

Why are you asking to show you the sources if you are not going to bother to read them anyway?

Go to Nagrad as a Horde, and the do the quests.
But beyond that: there really isn't a point in responding to you, since you have it in your head what you think it is, and all of the evidence to the contrary is not going to change your mind.

Since I'm not a horde do you mind telling me which quests in Nagrand to look up?

Guys, just stop responding to him. This is insane.

No I'm just waiting for Adam's proof in Nagrand of no afterlife in Warcraft, that he apparently only knows of

Start here, and move forward through the quest chain
...or you know, go fly to Nagrand and see the Orcish ancestors walking the zone.
And dude; there is still no proof anywhere at all that any type of afterlife exists in the Warcraft universe. I have no idea why you are so hung up on this, but at this point, just stop beating the dead horse already.
