I was wondering if its possible that once your in Solar Eclipse the move will change to sunfire but once your in Lunar Eclipse it will go to moonfire and if your not in anything than it will stay moonfire. If this is possible what would be the macro?

Please excuse me if I'm wrong here. The last time I played balance was right before mists launch. But doesn't it already do that by default? I recall it automatically changing depending on what power I was on.

Mike is right. The Moonfire spell changes into Sunfire while you're in Solar Eclipse. There's no need for a macro at all.
Behold, I have shown my age with this game.

Mike and ChairmanKaga are both wrong.
Moonfire
and
Sunfire
are both entirely different spells. They are two seperate DoT's that should be maintained at all times for optimal single-target Balance DPS.
The macro you're searching for does not exist, and cannot exist based on the Blizzard macro ruleset.
If you're looking for a way to help you manage your DoT's, there are several wonderful addons that you can use to track your Eclipse state and DoT timers.
I prefer
BalancePowerTracker
and
NeedToKnow
, respectively. Take it from a
Realm First! Level 90 Druid
, using addons to track your balance and DoT's will yield substantial increases in single-target DPS. Shop around and find some that suit your specific style and needs.

Are you saying that both those spells can be cast at any moment regardless of what power you are currently on?
I'll say again, I havent played since a few weeks before MoP was out, but I'm pretty sure the only way to cast Sunfire was during Solar Eclipse, any other time you would only be allowed to cast Moonfire.
But if you were going from Solar to Lunar, you could effectively have both dots up at the same time as you cross over that line.

No, he's right, it's just been
ages
since I played Balance. We're both thinking of Ye Olde Druid where Moonfire transformed during Solar Eclipse.
They are two totally separate spells now, castable at any time. Actually, if you
don't
have both dots up all the time now, you're Doing It Wrong. So you wouldn't want the macro OP is suggesting
anyway
.

Oh well thanks :) I guess i missed or had forgotten that change since i last played balance. I usually read about all specs in patch notes.
I wanna play chicken again, but not until they release quad specs >_> still waiting for tri-spec so i can PvP again!

Seriously? Logging into my Druid with a Balance spec...
Wow. Alright, then. In that case, yea. You can't do it with a macro. Derp @ pelf.
