I saw a really peculiar thing today...
Us Cenarius-KR alliance was downing Oondasta, and this level 84 hunter shows up. I don't know how he got there, he wasn't even in the two raid groups we had gathered. Even though he can't use the items from Oondasta, he did attack it, with all of us.
Curiosity got the better of me and I started searching for this guy. What surprised me was that even though he is only at level 84, his enchanting is 569 and alchemy 600. He also seems to have looted a tyrannical off the Sha of Anger.
How is all this possible? Oondasta and Sha aside, how are his profession levels at full(or nearly so)? Any ideas?

Probably bought the mats off the auction house, I don't think there is any level requirements when it comes to levelling.
As for oondasta and Sha, any level character can participate and receive loot, his friends probably set up a lock portal in one of the shrines and he set it as his hearthstone.
Or he could be hacking, I reported a level 84 that was flying around and one shotting mobs in pandaria.

Lvl 80 is required to access over 525 profession skill, and since Ench/Alch don't require any gathering, he could've had another char farming the mats or buying mats from AH. Still, it's fully possible to get 600 skill in all gathering professions at 80+ if you got MoP (
BoE
) gear. Might take a bit longer though, since you cannot fly.

My level 83 DK has 600 Inscription, having been fed herbs from my 90 rogue and warlock.
My level 81 druid has 600 Leatherworking, having been fed leather from my 90 hunter.
My level 80 warrior has 600 Blacksmithing, having been fed GI from my 90 mage and hunter.
Also you can get a teleport to Vale of Eternal Blossoms from a 90 mage at a low level. All of my 55+ characters have a bind in Shrine of the Seven Stars.
Alternately you can get a warlock and 2 friends to summon you anywhere you want in Pandaria.
As long as you step foot in Pandaria, you can get almost anywhere. You can easily* ride from Jade Forest to Valley of Four Winds to Veiled Staircase to Kun-Lai to Serpent's Spine to drop into Vale or Dread Wastes.
*Easily being relative, depending on how close to the road wandering mobs roam.
You can easily ride through Kun-Lai and swim or waterwalk to Isle of Giants, get a tag on Oondasta, and (possibly) win loot.
Just last night I had my 85 priest, 86 shaman, 87 death knight all take potshots at Galleon (didn't win anything this time around though.)
If he were flying, though, then it would be hacking.
Otherwise, it's just creativity and knowing the world.

thanks guys, did not know that level cap for professions was broken at 80, instead of 85.
