There is someone posing as a member of blizzard using the name wowstore. He claims that you have recieved a free spectral tiger mount and gives you a website to go to. This is a fake website hosted out of China. I have sent an e-mail to the person warning them that if they continue I will report them to interpol. Please let me know if you are sent a message like this. If you recieve a message containing a website address go to whois.com BEFORE you go to the website to find out if its real. Again, please let me know if you get a similar message because I don't tolerate hackers and WILL report him to INTERPOL.
(Removed the link to the fake website, but left the URL for whois Its a great tool for finding out the source of a website)
Interpol is probably not gonna be super helpful here. But the GMs are. Right click these and report them and they will be dealt with. Real Blizzard whispers are in a separate window, and have this spiffy little icon next to the name.
Um...yeah, just hit people like this with report spam.
Also: As it's a keylogger, for the love of the Naaru, don't put the actual website here, as people without much sense will go to it.
Just received this whisper & reported the name "Blizzmail" to Blizzard as a scam account.
Good lord, the 'Blizz'bots are back? They've been gone a while. I suppose that means we can expect good ole Susan to be popping up again in trade chat.
Haven't noticed this stuff and will not for a long time (if ever again).
It's called BadBoy addon. Use it, and never see another phishing whisper again.
