Leading 10 man vs 25 man raids

Good Morning all, First new thread post for me so bear with me if you will...
I have been leading a 10 man guild raid since cata. When MOP dropped, ally side on our server quickly died up (Yay Drak'Tharon), and most of the raiding guilds disappeared. We are down to two guilds that are scheduling any kind of consistent raids. As these other guilds folded, we have had an influx of talented eager toons looking to raid. I know all the fights and the mechanics so knowing what to do isn't my issue, my issue is that the only time I tried to run a 25 man raid it was like herding cats, cats with attention deficit disorder, on drugs.
Any suggestions on making the transitions from leading 10 man raids to 25 man?

Pretty much the same thing as 10m, just more people.
Theres actually a bi difference when it comes to leading a 10 man versus a 25 man. If you've ever practiced the chain of command type structure then youlll know that one person can only effectively manage up to max 7 people at a time. Any decent 10 man is going to have a leader and at least 2 people calling out the shots which lets more information be delivered but not clutter the vent channel or the mumble channel whichever you use. In a 25 man system you should have at least 1 leader and 4 assistants that are able to give orders at a moments notice. In the end its all about strong leadership that knows the raid and practice practice practice. Top end guilds wipe 200+ times on a heroic before they down a boss sometimes. Kepp at it my friend.
like others said you need people too lead.
every raiding guild that wants too excist for a while needs a good officer team.
on 10man usually 2-3 people and on 25 4-6, less then that and it might become too much too handle and if it becomes more then its becoming too cluttering.
- the most important part is ofcourse you have officers that can lead and be strict when its needed.
calling people out if when something needs to be done.
- next too that its very important you can trust your officers, more then a few guilds have collapsed or been torn apart cause of officers couldnt agree with each other (ofcourse people who get a long can start argueing later in time)
- officers require to be friendly, having a strict but very unpleasant officer will cause that most people will turn agianst him and start ignoring that officer and when it comes too a fight might leave the guild (or be kicked in officer rage). ofcourse being too nice means people will walk over the officer.
so you need too find people who can switch between being strict and nice easily depending on the sitiation. these officers will be very liked and the raid will often do what they want without much trouble making their job easier.
for your basic raiders it doesnt really matter how they are. as long they arent complete @#$%^& bags.
sure some guildmembers will misbehave more then others, but when they're out too pick fights every time just kick them right away instead trying too fix it for a 4th-5th+ time. at that point they already proven it wont work and it will only cause harm too the guild when you keep them cause others will grow discontent.
We ran a 25 man vaults run since everyone knew the fights and we way out geared them. Cleared 4/6 before we ran out of time, woulda cleared the raid if time allowed. The following week we jumped into ToT and downed first boss on 4th pull. Leared from the vaults run and muted all but 5 or so people on vent. 25 man is so much more forgiving than a 10 man. Losing a dps in the 2nd phase didn't doom us like it did on 10 man, plus 3 Storm Forge Drops :). Really excited about the coming weeks and really getting progression in 25 man raids on a dead server.
