Need Help with Shaman!
Return to board index
I have just made a Shaman (wanting to use it for PvP) which i am now level 22 with, i spec elemental so i guess that i will need intellect haste and crit, however i don't know whats the most important. I'm also doing RAF with someone, so i am outgrowing my gear very quickly and the only heirlooms i have were for my dk so there out of the question so i took tailoring to try and keep my gear to a high enough standard. this is still hard as i am having to buy most of my matts.
I could do with any help at all with like: Macro's, Rotations, professions, talents and glyphs
thanks for the help :)
Lava Burst on cooldown. Watch for Lava Surge and Elemental Focus.
Flame Shock Maintain DoT. Refresh at <= 3 sec.
Elemental Blast on cooldown.
Earth Shock when you have 6-7 charges of Lightning Shield.
Searing Totem when not using Fire Elemental Totem.
Lightning Bolt as a filler spell. Procs Rolling Thunder.
Nowadays almost all the primary professions give equally amount of intellect. Tailoring/Engineering has chance on casts. Anything is viable, really.
Might change now that 5.2 approaches and PE being buffed.
Glyph of Chain Lightning
. DPS increase if you hit 4+ targets.
Glyph of Fire Elemental Totem
Good for multiple burst phases.
Glyph of Spiritwalker's Grace
Good for high movement fights.
Glyph of Unleashed Lightning
Good for high movement fights.
All this was wrong or doesn't matter at level 22...
Don't worry about chasing gear as you level. If you are doing dungeons, you will replace everything as it comes along.
Macros are more of a personal thing.
I have several different sets depending if i am playing PVE Resto, PVP Resto, PVE Elemental, or PVP Elemental. Some of the most common however are using modifier macros for your weapon imbues, and Lightning Bolt/Chain Lightning spell, and Purge/Hex. (Don't forget your stopcasting if you are going to use Unleashed Lightning Glyph.)
Professions for pvp, I would highly recommend Engineering for the rocket boots, goblin glider, and glove on use tinker. You can pick up Leatherworking if you want to make your own gear. (And an upgraded leg enchant.) Tailoring will give you nets that give you a snare so you can get more distance between yourself and that melee that is trying to eat your face.
Would also highly recommend leveling up First Aid. (Don't know how many times having a bandaid around has saved my life when I was OOM and ally were rushing me....)
Feel free to hit me up on the battletag in my siggy if you want any more detailed advice. I am available to talk most nights as long as I'm not raiding or doing RBGS.
I recommend these sites:
these sites will give you all the information you need.
hope this helps.
You can also buy 3 heirlooms for gold (Head, Back and Legs) if your guild has unlocked them.
