Want all racial mounts in the game with hardly trying? Read! (Easy Albino Drake too!)
Return to board index
Hello, I am known as Vamp (No I am not gothic) I have been starting Jan of this month back to wow and well... Leave it to the lazy people to figure out a no brainer way to do things, so down to the business please read this in full, I did not know where to post this so I posted it here.
Q: What do you mean by Race mounts?
A: Each class has their own specific mounts before bc they were for that class only, then when the "Rep" system went into place any class could get them, I mean the mounts specifically designed for each starting class.
Q: would I have to grind countless hours of rep for each class? or eve n level a character to 40 for journey man riding to get these mounts?
A: No, this will take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on your speed, and it is currently legal according to the game.
Well this is quite simple, I figured it out due to the new mount system where you can join a new realm and still have your mounts, I had the "What if" question and it worked so I kept with it and even got me an Albino Drake, without even breaking a sweat.
1.) Pick a realm you have no intention of playing.
2.) Create a Death Knight on that realm.
3.) Do the Starting Quests to get the Death Knight out of the start.
4.) Buy the Race mounts.
1.) Starting over level 40+
2.) Start with Journey man riding
3.) Start with 33g+items =40g
4.) Ability to buy the race you chose epic mounts (3 per race for 10g each) and all the 1g mounts.
Hope you Enjoyed this little walk through, I just finished all mine so thought I would post it and see if blizz bumps the mounts to 100g instead of 10 for the epic mounts haha.
NOTE: I did 1 dk a day sometimes 2, for 2 weeks and got it done today, so I do not suggest no lifing it, i suggest doing 1 dk a day then spend the rest of your time playing as kind of a daily.
You mean the race mounts, not class mounts.
While it is kinda obvious, one might need a mental shove to think of this idea. However, this information would fit better as a comment on
Leading the Cavalry
, where more people who would need this information can find it.
Also, but this is just nitpicking, the respective city factions aren't very hard to raise to Exalted if you play any dungeons at all, thanks to the
And unless they changed this, the faction-respective mounts don't count on a character of the opposite faction, on Horde characters you will see your total mount count as neutral mounts + Horde mounts, while on Alliance it is neutral mounts + Alliance mounts. So no need (for the achievement) to get e.g. the Alliance mounts if you mainly play Horde characters, especially once you started the Argent Tournament grind (just found out, unlike the city mounts, having the Silver Covenant/Sunreavers mounts unlocks their other-faction equivalent as well)
mounts will only count on characters of that class, too. So, if you're two mounts short on a Warrior, log onto your theoretical 40+ Warlock/Paladin/Death Knight. As the latter, you need to have purchased the
Winged Steed of the Ebon Blade
to have two mounts, of course, while Paladins can even have three class mounts with the
oh I agree it doesnt take long unless you are like me and never dungeon, I have never ran current dungeons or leveled in dungeons as long as I played wow, I only quest or pvp, even got 250k honorable kills on 1 of my characters lol with blood thirsty achieve haha.
and thanks for correcting me, I meant race mounts, I say class because they use to be specific to that race before reps, still lost in the times.
