This is coming from someone who is quite new to macro's...
#showtooltip Misdirection
/tar Frosty <-- is your pets name
/cast Misdirection
/assist Frosty <-- is your pets name
/cast Mend Pet
This is extremely amazing when you have the Glyph of Misdirection and Glyph of Mending
Since Misdirection is not on GCD, mend pet can be cast at the same time as it which in turn will not pull agro as where casting it while in combat would.
You MUST tell your pet to attack a targeted monster before using this macro or it doesn't work
Unfortunately, this is not a PvP macro

to be honest that misdirection macro is quite bad compared too many more advanced ones that have been around for ages.
the one i use myself mainly is:
#showtooltip Misdirection
/cast Misdirection
this allows me too put someone on focus and cast MD on him/her, however if i dont got a focus or if my focus target dies. i'll be able too MD on my pet instead.
making this 1 macro usefull for both solo as group content.
now i must admit there are better ones then this one, that allows you too mouse over target someone too MD on and else it goes on the pet. but i havent made use of that yet, since i never had too really.

well your a beginner with macroes and make a thread like this with quite a terrible macro that needs to be remade for every pet you have. so making a thread with the title you choose for isnt a good way to then, is it?

In the realm of simplicity, for levelling, you can use
**
#showtooltip
/use Misdirection
/use Mend Pet
**
Does the same as yours - casts MD on your pet and casts Mend Pet as well.
I would't reccomend it to anyone, but its a cleaner version that will work regardless of what pet you have.
Being new to macroes I would suggest you start by familiarizing yourself with target commands and conditionals - in the one I posted above, the @ indicates a target, and the "pet" is a protected conditional referring to your active pet. You could also put in @focus instead, and it would MD to your focustarget, like a tank.
The "exists" and "nodead" isn't strictly necessary in this macro, as it will fail to cast on a dead or nonexistant pet anyway, but if you add in further targetting parameters it will skip to the next if the conditionals aren't met.
As for Mend Pet I would strongly suggest not macroing it in, as it initiates a 1.5 second GCD, and it shouldn't be necessary to keep running all the time in any content except soloing old raids (there it might be necessary), but when doing that you would be running the MD glyph anyway, meaning you would be overlapping your MP or not using MD enough.

I like this one myself, as well.
Very useful all-purpose macro. And I primarily use a spirit beast, I haven't found a need for mend pet...Mooney just heals himself =)
