You can transfer them across factions on the same servers, but at this point and time it's not possible to send them across servers.

You can transfer them with a realm transfer, both the paid one and the limited free one.

sadly you can not swap them between characters on different servers, i have so many duplicate heirlooms because of this when i worked tirelessly to get the first ones going through it a second time did not make it any better.

yes i wish we could do this :( takes so much time to collect this stuff it would really be a nice bonus. at least they have BoA for people who have done the armour swapping slow grind at least once.. its the only reason i bothered with any Alts. if not for BoA i would have never had a 2nd toon now i have several. But anyway yea i so agree wish we could transfer them across servers real bad. shouldnt this be appropriatly called BoS (binds on server) lol

sort of a related question. all my toons are Horde and im just now at the stage where im starting to work on alts. trying to get a good mix to cover all professions and understand the game better overall. anyway my question is can i send mail between my toons or help my alli toon with BoA, Ore, mats, etc from my horde main? im a 1st class noob yes but i was under the impression you could not send mail/messages from alli to horde?

You can only mail BoA items across faction.

No, you actually can mail BoA items across the server. Unless they changed something, because I clearly could do that in... Wrath. Ok, that was long ago, but I don't think they changed it.

Are you just making up wrong stuff to troll or do you have really poor memory?

Right...cross faction on the same server; you've never been able to send a loom to another server unless you were transferring a character with them on it.

Is it possible to transfer BoA herilooms across servers? It's said Bind on Account, not Bind on Server, so it should be able to right?
thx
They aren't Bind on Server, I have transferred characters several times holding heirlooms in the bank. Not once have I gotten an error message telling me a character was holding an item bound to the server.
Also, they were still bound to my battle.net account: I could not trade or mail them to anyone, except for characters on my second WoW account.

The complaint is that they are effectively Bind to Server because you cannot mail them to other servers. The only way to get them to another server is to pay for a transfer or get lucky and find a free one. Then they are stuck on the transferred to server. Don't take it too literally.

actually, i was thinking, it wouldn't be too hard to make it inter-server transferable, just put the name with the server name like if you were in a battlegroup. e.g. Daggonet-Malfurion
I've always found the mail option a bit backwards. I used to use a bunch of heirlooms on a restodruid and a warlock. A guildie would ask if I wanted to do a couple of instances as a healer and I would have to log onto the lock, run him to a mailbox, strip and mail, then log onto my druid, run to a mailbox and get dressed. After the instance run I would go through the reverse process to get back to grinding on my lock.
However, the heirlooms can't be sold or disenchanted, so why not just get access to a copy of every heirloom purchased on every char, it would save a lot of hassle unless blizz consider the 30c mailing fee a needed goldzink.
A similar sort of setup to the mounts/pets tab?

I'd bet it gets put in when we see Heirlooms updated for MoP levels, personally.
