Clear Cache on Wow START UP - without doing it manually
Return to board index
I've seen alot of ppl writing text as (Below) that removes the Cache info upon booting world of warcraft.
Personly im using the Launcher and
right now i have to open my wow folder and delete the Cache map manually
... can i somehow change this so it does it when i click WoW start button and if so How?
And how do i do it.... (im not an expert)!
# I would like "what file to modify" and where/how to add it.
(sorry if i sound lame but i badly need help!)
Although this doesnt help me where to add it, How to add it or if its some wow-ingame script... but doesnt seem so.... lawl help?
You need to write that text to a .bat File.
For example, create a new text file (you could use notepad) on your desktop "startwow.txt" and write:
then save and exit the editor.
Now you have to rename "startwow.txt" to "startwow.bat" (right-click -> rename).
If you can't see the file extension (the ".txt") you have to
turn them on
Now, instead of clicking your WoW-Launcher shortcut you have to click the startwow.bat.
Note that you have to make sure that the path for the files is correct, i.e that your "creaturecache.wdb" really is located in "C:\\Games\\WoW\\Cache\\WDB\\enGB\" (use the Windows Explorer to check.)
Hope that helps.
