Soloing MC

I'm thinking of soloing MC as a level 78 hunter. How rapidly can I expect to get JP and other goodies?

To even earn the slightest ammount of Justice-Points from bosses of the older encounters you need to be the recommended level, in this case 60, even incase of such the maximum level JP from such heroics and such by far outdoes the earned ammount from this, i remember running my 70 twink in 70 only groups, getting aprox 7 JP per heroic boss or something, which kind of reflects the difficulty becourse of wotlk enchants and sockets ruining the difficulty to begin with.

Yeah I wouldn't expect JP to drop at all. As far as the other things very low gold will be dropped because of the way the system works now. But the gear that drops there does vendor for some gold. And a few BoE Patterns do sell for some gold but there not a very high drop chance.
Expect alot of vendor trash so make sure you have 70+ bag slots open. Or that your an Eng. With Molle or Scrapbot. Even with my pally being an Enchanter I still filled most of my bag space. But I haven't run it in a while since the gold change but I would still expect you to get around 100g before you Ah drops.

Never mind. After getting my ass handed to me by the first two mobs I encountered, I decided against soloing MC.

For a Hunter i would say that it is rather a pointless task collecting Justice Points from low level dungeons / raids.
Only reason to enter Molten Core would be for
Giantstalker Armor
&
Dragonstalker's Legguards
. Well perhaps some other items.
-----
Gold Farm
-----
You can make rather nice gold from the place if you get lucky with some of these items:
Formula: Enchant Weapon - Spellpower
/
Formula: Enchant Weapon - Healing Power
These can drop from 7 of the bosses in
Molten Core
.
Next up, lets look at two more items:
Sulfuron Ingot
Blood of the Mountain
***
Sulfuron Ingot
***
This Item drops from:
Golemagg the Incinerator
, a large molten giant, is the seventh boss of the
Molten Core
. He is joined by two Core Ragers. He sometimes drops Sulfuron Ingot, an ingredient to creating
Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros
--since they are BoE, they can fetch a nice price on the auction house.
Another ingredient to creating
Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros
, that will net you some nice gold is
Blood of the Mountain
. This item drops from
Molten Destroyer
.
Edit: This list of information isn't detailed, i could add many more items you can make easy gold from, but i wanted to keep this short to give you a example.
Happy Hunting

You will get zero JP from Molten Core, or any older raids.
I say this from experience, as I have used my higher levels to drag alts/guildies through older raids for gear, and they only get gold.
You will get zero JP from regular WLK bosses - instead you will get Honor Points.
I say this from experience, and having leveled a warrior from 72 to 80, and a DK from 70 to 75, since the start of MOP.
You will not start to get JP until 70, as your random-dungeon-per-week reward.
Up til then, you get the random reward bags.

If the trash is biatch slapping you, then you are far from ready.
Trash? No, they were a couple of elites. Even then, it surprised me because of how I had so easily walked though Blackrock Depths.

BRD isn´t a raid, it is a 5 man dungeon. MC is a raid, designed for 25.

They were 2 Molten Giants, basically trash mobs for the raid.

It's actually designed for 40.
I was just about to say that... good catch! :)

Just a thought but how well are you geared? Do you have full 78 Cata Greens? If so you should have no problems. I was soloing MC in Wrath as a Ret Pally so surely a hunter can solo the place.

A level 78 tank pet (if you're BM) shouldn't be taking too much damage in MC, and definitely nothing you can't outheal. As long as you are misdirecting on each pull, they shouldn't ever lose aggro, either.

I don't have Cata anything, mostly Wrath blues and 2 heirlooms.
if you're BM
No, BM is my Prot warrior. This is BA.

You can buy cata greens off the AH even if you don't have the expac- they have better stats than most wrath gear for your level.

BM = Beast Mastery
My dear friend ElhonnaDS was referencing your spec, not your name.
Oh he knows. All the bother about BM and BA is really just BS :P

Oh, you meant Beast Mastery? No, she's Marksmanship. How much of a difference does that make?

Since BM is the Hunter tank spec, should be able to figure that out for yourself.
