Yes, theres already a thread, but that one got derailed by hyperdefensive mages who thought anything not saying mages are perfectly balanced and should instantly kill any other class while also basically stopping them from doing anything ala vanilla rogues is balanced.
Oh well, onto the real subject.
With the upcoming 5.1 patch, blizzard once again used a thermonuclear fusion bomb in place of a scapel and blanket nerfed all non-healing specs to have no pvp power bonus to healing.
While this places blatantly OP specs like shadow and noobkin back in their place, it also slaughters ret,, who focuses their entire niche into off-healing.
Why did blizzard mutilate paladins again?
So what you are saying is that pvp gear does not benefit healing like it does to damage?

You're lucky I'm not a moderator here for all the blatant trolling and hostile discussion against Blizzard, the game and other players.
So, Mages are what Ghostcrawler plays, Shadow is overpowered and Moonkins are instant win. You are not here to discuss Retribution. You are just randomly crying.
But enough with stating the obvious, it's time to shut you down.
So, your definition of "OP spec" is Moonkin, when their representation above 2200 rating is 1.2%? And we better not filter that to 3v3, where it's not even 1%.
If we consider WoW's classes, there are 11, totalling 34 (because of quadrispec druid) specs. 5 tanks reduce that to 29 possible specs. However...
- Holy Priests were never close to viable outside 5v5.
- Triple DPS classes rarelly have all 3 specs actually PvP viable. 2 at most, 1 usually being the case.
Cutting those down (Rogue, Warlock, Mage, Hunter) and assuming best case scenario (2 viable specs per), that's -4, or a total of 25 arena specs.
That would mean that anything along the line of 4% would be the sweet spot. Consider, however, that healers are on a scale of their own. As you can see in
The first arena team composition without a healer appears at rank 18.
So, a fair distribution of 4% is just unreasonable to even reason with. However, some conclusions can be drawn.
How to interpret that data:
The first number is the % of players above 2200rating. The second is the total number of players for that spec. This means that having a low score on the first column but a very high score on the second may not mean the class is underpowered; just that it's played by a lot of people, and likelly not all of them are good enough to cut it to 2200. Example: Beastmastery is basically broken at the moment, but only has a 9% representation there. Why? Because it has 5.1% of the global % of players, which is the third highest. The role is super powerful, but it still requires some mastery of your class and all other classes to reach 2200+.
->Warriors are vastly, vastly superior, especially when compared to other melee classes.
->Beastmastery Hunters reign the Ranged department supreme.
->Frost and Shadow are pretty powerful, especially Frost.
->Healers are dominated by Shamans and Paladins, with Monks and Priests eating dust, and druids shaking to compete.
With that out of the way, do you want to actually focus on Paladins without role-calling other classes with baseless assumptions? Discuss how Retribution will actually suffer and what could be done about it. Stop calling specs OP without any data but your (horribly out of place) assumptions. Do you expect to be taken seriously claiming something with 0.9% representation in the 3v3 bracket is overpowered?
Shadow and Balance have the advantage in the off healing department, yes. They can offheal for far more than Feral/Enhance/Ret who have lower mana pools. Thats the problem.
The nerf was aimed that Shadow, Elemental, Balance, So on.
Blizz then backtracked and stated they wanted to nerf melee anyway so they won't have to look like idiots.

Like you said he is just randomly crying, can't PvP and just going to the standard OMG I've been nerfed and everyone else is OP response.
He even made this thread because in the other thread his argument was basically owned.
Again you start a crybaby thread with sweeping statements and expect people to take your argument seriously?
Your comments aren't even original and I think this quote sums it up from a few years ago in response to a similar whiny post on the official forums:-

It's a valid complaint and there's no reason not to discuss it...although discussing it probably isn't going to change anything...however as an enhancement shaman I can't feel too sorry for rets since they still have solid damage and defensive options.
Ret's ability to throw solid off-heals was a nice perk but I wouldn't consider it a spec-defining trait...and you can still heal yourself quite competently. I think a lot of the changes made in 5.1 were unnecessarily harsh to classes/specs which were not really a problem to begin.
By the way, arena representation means even less now than it did before. RBGs are the new "old" pvp gauge and it's fair enough to say that all classes and many specs of each class are still viable in RBGs, even at competitive levels 1800+.
