Solo gaming or group gaming
Return to board index
What do you choose?And why?
Solo for leveling.
I like to do things at my own pace, and the game offers me the flexibility to choose where to run a dungeon or battleground, quest or gather.
End game guild runs, and the occasional pug with guilds I know are the only real part of the "social" game I enjoy, but that is really down to the general attitude of LFG and LFR. (Thats not to say some random groups are not good, some are but they are few and far between groups of obnoxious entitled jackasses)
I see:D pretty much the sama here.
I like group gaming better. For me, the social experience is what I enjoy most in the game. Even in LFD I put forth effort to make it a positive social experience, and succeed more often than not. A majority of my LFD runs end with "great group", "that was fun", "nice to meet you", etc...
when questing i prefer being solo, i often found that when doing objectives i was quicker finishing them then friends causing me too wait.
but when i recieved or turned in a quest i prefer too read the quest text, cause some of them are really good which makes me slow down my friends.
pvp/dungeong/raids and too some extent dailies (though i often prefer those alone also)
i like doing them with friends/guildies, makes it more enjoyable.
Solo. I pretty much only group for LFG/LFR and the occasional quest boss that's just too big to handle solo at my level.
It depends on which class role I am playing. When leveling as a primary tank spec, I use the LFD non-stop because the queue times are between 0 and 30 seconds. Leveling damage, I mostly solo play, doing quests, although if I wanted to do it as quickly as possible, I would queue for a random, and do quests for the 15 to 30 minutes between instances. Healing specs usually get groups anywhere from a minute or two up to about 5 minutes, which makes solo questing more difficult, but not impossible. Expect a lot of interruptions to your questing if you level as a healer.
I like being solo questing, because I can move at my own pace, stop to mine or check out something interesting, etc. I do like group play better overall, because I find it more fun, but I generally think of dungeons or raids when I think of group play.
