Return to board index
Hello. This is my last resort before I give up on my lock! I have a gear score of 374, items reforged, gemmed, rotation researched and put into action, but my DPS is STILL HORRIBLE! I mean, I do good to pull 9k! What am I doing wrong? Please help!
btw... my warlocks name is Karmasminion if you would like to look at my gear...
The warlock pve guide is your best answer , its on this forum and is very good.
that said, you are way over on hit, you need to replace all gear that has spirit on it. just keep running hot's
also on the armory page there is a character audit visible if you select advanced view near your gear score number. it will point out the basics.
there's a couple places you can look for good info.
Battle.net forums, warlock section:
and Elitist jerks:
You need some work. Some quick things, wrong glyphs. You are missing glyph of immolate and conflag. But we are losing glyphs here in a week, so to late for that.
Gemming pure haste, and pure crit is bad. Refer to this forums guide for proper gemming. You missing alot of key enchants of alot of your gear.
I'd go into specifics, but it's pointless at this point. We are getting the 5.0 changes in a week, and in a month we have MoP.
But til then, refer to the guides for proper gems, enchants. Also, we don't know what your spell priorities you using. You could be spamming immolate for all we know.
Yeah it sucks but I agree, just cool it till 5.0. If you really want to work on something, work on what
be the same from now and 5.0.
Always Be Casting, - improving time-on-target is the single best improvment to dps you can make
Stack Cooldowns/procs - they compound on each other, making it better to use at the same time rather than one at a time. And USE THEM. Too many people simply don't use their CDs or trinkets, there is no downside to using them.
Know the Fight - If you know the target is going to be immue/away for a while, be sure dots wont fall off, and dont blow CDs during that time. If they're going to take increased dmg for some reason, be ready to pop CDs during that phase.
And the basic casting priority.
Also check out the Noxxic warlock guides:
...there's a section for all 3 specs.
