Hot to get a pet?
Return to board index
I am level 33 Human Warlock, can I get a pet? I have that minion that helps me fight but I would like to know if I can get a pet, smth that I can fly with or walk faster with it..
I think you are reffering to a mount, which you can ride/fly for extra speed.
These mounts can be bought, but warlocks receive a class mount which you can simply train at a warlock trainer.
You can get a mount from your trainer at level 20 and at level 40, the level 20 one gives 60% and the level 40 one gives 100% speed increase.
If i were you i would check my mounts tab, which can be found in your spellbook at the bottom.
Hope this helped you.
That minion is your "pet" (a term which can describe
in WoW though)
At level 33, you have access to all warlock permanent pets, the
. I suggest to summon each and examine their abilities in the so-called "pet action bar", which should be above your normal action bar in the default interface. If you don't find the summon spells in your spellbook, you should visit your class trainer :)
Riding and Flying
are a different matter. Well, actually, as a warlock you have it a little easier, when you reached level 20, you automatically got the first level of Riding (+60% speed) and the
, a warlock-only mount. When you reach level 40, you can learn
(+100%) from a Riding trainer, though you either have to go to your character's race's capital to find a Riding Trainer willing to talk to you, or do it the easy way and visit either
in Stormwind or
in Orgrimmar, next to the respective Flight Masters (where you can get a "taxi" flight) They are labelled as "Flying Trainers" (which you can learn starting with level 60) but they also teach the Riding skills, regardless of character race.
You can also learn the
from a warlock trainer, or visit the Riding Trainer for your race anyway, as next to them, there is a vendor selling your race's faction mounts, but as a warlock, this is only an option, since you have class mounts. To acquire the mounts from other city factions, you need to reach an exalted reputation with them. It is luckily quite easy to earn reputation with them these days, simply wear the appropriate
while doing dungeons.
Ok, thanks, that helped me.
And I have one more question. I saw that when you are reffering to a specific place, there are some coordinates (e.g. 22.3 and so on). I don't understand them. Where do they appear or how can I get to know those coordinates? I think that if I would know them I could find the places easier and faster.
While these coordinates are provided by the game itself, the default interface does not display them - but addons can do that. A very good one for this is
Quick installation guide if you never touched addons before: on the site I linked, you can download a .zip file. You need to unpack its content to \\Interface\\Addonsthe part in brackets is of course depending on where you installed WoW, though the default location is
C:\\Program Files\\World of Warcraft
