As a member, we are unable to comment since the thread is closed on the forums. However, the textarea is misleading, because while the header does indeed state that I am logged in. The textarea placeholder where the textarea is says I must login to comment. I'm already logged in!

Very rare situation, it's locked and clearly says why in the post (past entry date)--probably not worth changing the text just for that =)

So something that doesn't make sense like this is okay to stay around? ... Seriously, what if you used my link which auto-jumps you to the comment form and you don't even get to read the article unless you scroll back up.
Kinda makes no sense, all that could be done is adding a 'locked' class to that text field and changing the background graphic from the please login splash to a comments disabled splash.
