Why Should We Queue For 30 mins, Just to End Up in a 90% Complete Instance?

To me, it is very VERY annoying to have this happen to me 60% of the time.
Getting right to the point, why doesn't Blizzard have two separate dungeon finder tabs?
One only matches you up with new groups, the other matches you up with groups that have had a someone leave, and the queue time would most likely be around 10-15 mins instead of the standard 25-35 mins.
A positive thing to come from this is less queue time, as well as a chance to either complete ALL of the bosses when you choose to, compared to only completing a few.
Another option would be to SHOW US on the dungeon finder how many bosses are completed before we go. Instead of just wishing upon a star and clicking accept.
Good idea?

Put it another way:
Would you rather have to underman an instance because someone had to leave or something?

Im not saying it would work, but the option of joining groups that were already in progress would more than likely get a lot of takers as there are many players at this point that only want their daily valor points and to be on their way.
I would gladly take a faster que for a dungeon with 4/5 bosses down. One quick fight, 70 valor points, and goodbye.
I would as well. After all, I'm completely geared.
And for people who are not geared, how annoying is it to queue for a dungeon, and end up in a dungeon with 5/6 bosses complete? Well, that's about 10 mins to defeat the boss, and then you have to queue AGAIN and wait another 30 mins.
There is a huge demographic of people on each side of the argument, splitting the finder into two tabs shouldn't have any downside.
And the dungeons that have leavers will most likely have completely geared person join, making it easier to complete since the group was probably having troubles in the first place.

If you queue for a specific dungeon you won't get an in-progress one. Just do that.
Yeah... What if your gearing up and want the bonus justice points and money?
I'm not looking for obvious ways to do things NOW, I'm looking for input on my idea.

Along the patches since cataclysm Blizzard actually adjusted LFD to have us take more remnant groups. Random heroic groups no longer display bosskill status, while random normal instances still do.

1. Queue for dungeon.
2. Put on sound.
3. /afk, watch TV, read a book, wax your cat.
4. React to sound of queue popping.
5. Be happy that instance is almost over.
6. Stop whining about getting more JP for actaul time spent.

One could argue (is what I'm doing right now) that someone who was forced into a nearly finished dungeon could get bumped X % up in the next queue they join if they join within X amount of minutes after finishing the last one.
Say... 40% and 15 minutes? Just as an example. Would be a prize for "sacrificing" yourself helping someone else finish a dungeon.
Would do bullocks for tanks of course.
Edit: Erp derp typo..

What I dislike the most is that 9 times out of 10, there is a pretty good reason why a group can't finish the heroic, and that reason isn't the one who drops group. More often than not, when I get into a heroic that is in progress, one or more of the people involved seems unable to perform their role effectively, and several wipes ensue before the group breaks up, I leave, or we manage to muscle through the last couple of bosses.

So you see joining a mid-stream heroic as something you should be rewarded for doing. Interesting.
Based on the latest note that they are going to split DPS into four queue lines for armor types (my inferrence of the patch note), it means they are definitely looking to raise the usefulness of heroics for lower geared toons. So the devs might agree that the focus here should be on the lesser geared, and so you would need to be compensated for losing bosses.
I think that benefiting one side of this equation will detract from the other. Unintended consequences will lead to situations like "no tank ever queues for fresh runs" versus "no dps ever queues for in-progress runs".
Still though, splitting things finer and finer will lead to at least a chance of shorter queue times for other types of players (non-tanks).

Run with friends instead, then you'll always get brand new ones, problem solved.

Really? I often find it's the other way around for me.

This might work just fine imo, since I noticed a discernable difference between reasons to do a random (HC), based on what players want or need:
xp
MS/OS gear
reputation
Justice Points
quick
Valor Points
For 1 through 4, you'll want to do as many as possible in any given instance, just to make sure you get the most out of it.
For 5 though, you want to lose as little time as possible between entering and gettting your Valor Points, since you'll probably are already in raid/crafted gear with all reputations maxed out (or up to the level where you can get the best gear)
From personal experience I can add that getting HoO (on my Tank) as my random daily HC, with a group trying to gear up or get rep, is a big drag since I'm only interested in the Valor Points, and only getting 10VP/boss, ins't as appealing as doing VP and getting 23.3VP/boss.
Also, with the adjusted sytems for kicking and leaving in place there is no reason to assume that a double queueing systems (fresh vs ongoing) would be leading to abuse.

The best solution, imo, is to give the option of declining an in-progress invite while keeping your place in line (and then the next person in line will get the invite, and he can accept or decline and keep his place, and so on). That way, everyone's happy: the people who want a full run can wait it out until one is available, and those who just want a quick run for the extra points will get in faster.

Well if you just want the bonus points and money, dont you get that when you get notification that you have completed the dungeon? I guess you miss out on the money etc you get on the run.

I agree- perfect option for everyone.

Aye, would love that option.
