For over a month, now, your Looter has not been updating my characters on your Profiler! I've gone so far as to completely delete the Wowhead Looter from this PC and re-install it, but still no dice!
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over.
Here are the consolidated logs for today:

Also, if anyone else is having this same (or similar) problem, please do me (and my already high blood pressure) a tremendous favor and
start your own individual thread
(instead of highjacking my thread).
Thanks in advance...

Ok going over more information on your account it looks like you've been using two different machines. One using Windows XP and one using Vista. According to that information it looks like you had a successful upload on 2nd with character data and that was from the Windows XP machine, Can you try uploading from that machine to see if it works first?

Hey,
Also, it appears you've never successfully uploaded your SavedVariables.lua files using the 1.8.5 version of the wowhead client . . . hmm . . .
Looking at the logs you posted, the interesting lines look something like:
> '...\WTF\Account\FWCAIN\SavedVariables\+Wowhead_Looter.lua': Already uploaded..
That means the client thinks the lua file has been uploaded, and has skipped uploading it this time. Those files must be uploaded for your character profile(s) to be updated.
So - some things to try: (in addition to fewyn's suggestion above)
Double check the wowhead client->Tools->Options menu that your wow installation folder(s) are correct.
Sometimes, it appears WoW has a WTF directory somewhere other than in it's own folder. You may try looking around and making sure there's only one, and it lives in the WoW folder.
Run the wowhead client as Administrator to be sure the addon and client are both updated correctly. The Addon should be WL_VERSION = 40015 and WL_VERSION_PATCH = 0.
Run wow and the wowhead client as Administrator, collect some wow data, upload, check the logs and see if the .lua is uploaded.
Open the +Wowhead_Looter.lua file and check the version of that file. The line should look like "wlVersion = 40015". If not, you'll need to delete that file, start wow, open all trade skill windows, do '/wl collect', exit wow, and try uploading again. <takes a breath>
Edit the +Wowhead_Looter.lua file that didn't upload. These are just plain text files. Open the file, and look for a line (should be near the top) that starts with: wlUploaded = 3 -- or some value other than 0 The wowhead client updates that from 0 to (something other than 0) when it uploads. Changing the value back to 0 and saving the edit may get the client to upload that file again.
If that
still
doesn't work, we can try clearing out the current looter collection data, and start collecting again. To do this, you'll need to delete everything in the directory
(it's a hidden folder, just type it into windows explorer and you'll see this folder's data)
C:\ProgramData\Wowhead\Wowhead Client\cache You'll also need to delete the file <wow_install_dir>\WTF\Account\FWCAIN\SavedVariables\+Wowhead_Looter.lua
Please keep me informed of your progress. I'll check this thread and/or you can email me directly at shon@wowhead.com.
Thanks,
shon

Another thought - make sure the wowhead_looter addon is enabled and loading in WoW. (thanks poeticdragon :) ).
Also - it may just be easier to delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua file than editing it . . .(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##IvanTheSquid##DELIM##

Actually this problem of the wowhead client not updating characters has been going on for months.
It has been showing bad info and even removing recipes and other things that my chars have
on them. Logging in today and it seems all my chars are locked up for me like they are not
part of my account. I see the loadup times from the client, but they are off. I have also done
a special collect for each char to see if that updates the recipes and it does not!
When is this going to be fixed?

...it looks like you've been using two different machines. Yep, two different PCs, as you've noticed. My own PC at my apartment is an old, slow-as-molasses, antiquated piece of crap running Windows XP, that takes thirty full seconds to load every time I try to zone into Dalaran or Orgimmar (or Stormwind, when on one of my Alliance toons), which is nonetheless able to upload data to you. The other PC is the one I've inherited (or will inherit, when Mom finally gets Dad's old geneology data downloaded and sent over to our cousins continuing the family history) still here at the parent's house, and is a newer, faster PC running Windows Vista, but cannot upload to Wowhead to save (what tiny fragment remains of) my sanity! >:-P
I've taken your advice and purged all of the Wowhead_looter.lua" files from all of the various subdierectories, as well as emptying the "cache" folder for the Looter. As soon as I get a chance, I'll try to gather data and upload again.
Thanks!

Well...
Don't know if this latest attempt worked or not, because now all my tabs are locked on my toon's page:

There's a banner on that page with this message: "Warning: Your changes haven't been saved!"
(Sigh)... :'-(

Do a hard refresh (ctrl f5) we made some changes to some javascript which is probably cached by your browser.

just wanted to point out that +wowhead_Looter.toc is still at 40014 when I updated to the 40015 do they both need to be the same?

The issue (for me at least) is that the data simply isn't being scanned.
My goal is simply to see what cooking recipes I'm missing on a single character. I only have the wowhead looter addon enabled for that one character.
I delete the SV lua file, then log in, open my cooking (and first aid and smelting panels), then type /wl collect.
I then log out and open the SV lua file. It's quite clear that the recipes list has not been scanned, because this snippet appears in wlExportData:
&profs=2656,2550,3273&recipes=&mounts=75207
I'm sure the upload would work fine if the addon was actually scanning the recipe list, but it's not.
I think this may be related to 4.0.6, because another addon that I have that shades all known recipes as red on vendors (like the daily cooking vendor in SW) is no longer doing that. Presumably it would also have to scan what recipes I know to work properly.
I haven't gone through the code for either addon, but this suggests that something changed in the API for scanning which recipes you have on which tradeskill.

My only problem is that my professions aren't accurate, it uploads after each session . I've tried to /wl collect after opening the all trade windows but still says I am missing some recipes I know I have. Going to try re-installing the program. Everything else seems to be working well. ;)

Try removing the PTR stuff from your wowhead client configuration options so you're just trying to upload 'live' data.

On this 'newer' machine, please double-check the other settings in the Wowhead client:
Tools->Manage Character Data Uploads - make sure there are no characters listed that you'd like uploaded. This is an Exclusion list.
Tools->Options - Make sure the 'Upload character data' check box is checked.
Thanks,
shon

Thank you!

Sweet - I've made a bug ticket for that - I'll get it ironed out ASAP.

Problem has returned, as of "new version" this morning. :-(

Okay fwcain,
My first attempt at fixing the wonky live/ptr-won't-upload-my-toons issue introduced a nice bug :(. Version 1.8.6 would corrupt a file called 'character.block' in the Wowhead Client app-data directory ("...\Wowhead\Wowhead Client\character.block"). The file may be 'hidden' by default.
That file must be deleted before the new (1.8.7) client will work properly.
Please remove that file and see if the client works for you once again.
Thanks,
shon

No such file found. (And being a rather obsessive-compulsive, ex-programmer/analyst, I've got "show hidden files" checked.)
