Best professions for pvp?
Return to board index
Hi, im interested in doing some pvp with my rogue in the new expansion. I'd like to know what the best professions are for this. I've been hearing Engineering is pretty good for pvp, but id like to hear what experienced pvpers have to say about this. Also, id like to pick professions that would probably be good for pvp in upcoming expansions as well, not just cata.
Engineering/Alchemy are my favorites.
Engineering is always awesome, Jewelcrafting usually provides a very nice static stat bonus through better gems. Those are the two off the top of my head. Alchemy is also nice.
Pick the professions you enjoy the most, though. Engineering is the only "must have" one.
The new bolt shooter thing is what I'm looking forward to.
Can't wait ;)
Engineering, end of discussion.
Should I pick Gnomish or Goblin Engineering?
gnomish is more tinker while goblin is more explosives. there are no special goblin/gnome engineering item on the end game.
Ok, thanks for the info
Unless I'm overlooking something, alchemy seems pretty bad for pvp. Engineering is good. The classic jewelcrafting/blacksmithing combo is possibly the best in passive stats you can get.
Alch has the lovely stat bonus via flasks, and can use a couple flasks in arena. Right now LW is nice for stats via the agi to bracers. I believe EJ has it ahead of JC and BS, but I'm not sure on the EP numbers. LW and Engineering ftw?
Im a rogue, I got skinning, because of the crit it gives you, and i got enchanting but im going to change it to engineering. Those proberly are the best 2 professions. Engineering/Skinning. OR even Mining Cause of the Stamina it gives you, Skinning/mining. Well for pvp,
Mining gives you 120 stam at 525 skill lvl and skinning Gives you 40+ crit (i think) at 525
lol 80 crit soz lol
Skinning? Mining? Haha.
Leatherworking / Alchemy or Engineering
Engineering/Leathworking or engineering/jewelry crafting I heard. but i here leatherworking/jewelry crafting is the best because of the better gems and the better enchants u can get from them. I think its like 3x 65agility gems and major ap on wrists and shoulders from leatherworking. plus engineering seems to be best for low level stuff and pve. at end game and pvp wise most stuff u make from engineering arent best for ur tune. enchants provide better mods for u if u tend to pvp more. stacking attack power agility hit and crit from gems and enchants is better imo.
Alchemy.. well is very nice if you can miraculously not die doing PvP or have potions that persist through death.. Jewe;crafting very nice for increased stats.. engineering takes quite some time for it to be "profitable" im PvP situations
Leatherworking tops it because of +130 agi on bracers.
Jewelcrafting gives 81 agi
Eng / Alchemy both give 80
Skinning? Mining? Haha.
They are a good lazy man's professions!
