Just hit 82 as well. Far behind most of my guild who took off work yesterday.
80% remaining till 85.
You need 9,1 million exp for 84->85. :-/
9.1 million :O
It'll take me a week >.<

I'm the biggest slacker here then, I hit 81 slightly before midnight -_-
But I had a bit of a sh*tfest at the start of the evening. First, train delays up the a$$. I arrive at home an hour late. Luckily, I left my laptop on the table and my dad had already started up the system before I got home.
Then, I take the mount hyjal quest, it says "secure passage to moonglade", so I try to be smart and teleport there (I was loving it that I was a druid at that point). When I arrive there, the quest guy has a grey question mark over his head o_O So I had to make the
actual journey
, wtf man! And ofc my hearth was still set on dalaran, so I had to
fly all the way back
to org! *sigh*
And then when you actually get to quest, the effort it requires to get quests done, man o man. There was a quest where I had to put out a fire and then beat the crap out of the harpy that spawned. Well, I put out the fire, and the spawning mob gets friggin tagged by someone else! Speaking of tagging, I hate Starfall, I hope it dies.
Also, having a large flying mount apparently means that you have to stand
ON
the quest giver, making it effing hard to click the NPC to either take a q or turn one in >.<
Bugged quest marks on the map also don't help much, but I can live with that, at least reading the quest log or checking Wowhead's database (<3) resolves that.
So yeah, took me 4 hours to reach 81. Including sorting out my questing gearset, and going to AH to buy some vanishing powder (because I figured the SR glyph would be better than the Lacerate glyph for leveling ...). And the screwups mentionned in the beginning of this post :p
Aaaaaaaaaanywho, /rant over, sorry for that
9.1 million :O
It'll take me a week >.<
Weekend will fix it :D
Might go to a concert tonight ... /cry >.<

I spent an hour trying to kill those 12 twilight dragon dudes in the SW before I realised there was a whole entire camp lower down :( felt like a nub. Not having any major AoE makes tagging mobs really tough.

Horde have taken to flagging and standing on quest givers on my realm for years >.> A nice way to fix this is turn friendly name plates on and right click on the name plate not the actual quest giver :)

My best mates birthday on Saturday so I doubt I'll see much play time and will probably be too hungover to play on Sunday :(
At least I am on leave from the 15th til after new years! \o/

Ooooo I like that one :)

Same. The funny part was that everyone was tagging mobs in that one tiny camp, and all the others down below were untouched ...

I know. But money isn't a major issue atm and I was in a hurry :p (also, for some reason I figured only the vendor in dalaran sold those. Dunno why o_O)

Even better ... bind the "interact with target" keybind and just target the guy and hit the keybind.
I got to 81 last night in the few hours I got to play. A mage from my guild and I duoed the first boss in BRC and then got totally wrecked on the second one; we got another DPS and a healer and pulled through it though.
All very entertaining. Even the Charlie Foxtrot of people and the respawns with the kill-more-respawn-more knob turned to MAX resulting in quest mobs spawning on top of you as soon as you kill the last one.

So quiet in here!
Anyone tried out archeology yet? It's quite cool actually and really good experience for the time investment (between 11 and 25k xp for the lower level stuff).

Yeah ... I got just past 50 last night. The XP really is quite reasonable. I put it marginally above mining and fishing in terms of mindlessness.
In other news ... omg Thrash. /castsequence Swipe, Thrash is my new favorite toy.

Most people are playing cata I'd imagine :P I'm officially guildless and I have no intentions of being so again, at least not for the foreseeable future, so I've not played since it was released. I'm gonna wait until the initial zones quieten down (and the majority of the bugs are fixed) before I start going again. I'll have enough in 8 80's, 1 71 and the worgen warrior I'll roll from the start to keep me busy.
Until then however, I'm gonna play through Fallout 3 (started it ages ago but made a hames of my character and never returned) as a sniper/sneak type character and then when my copy of Halo: Reach arrives next week I'll plough through that. Should keep me busy until Christmas and my Kinect is placed in my hands.
Anyone care to suggest any other games that are worth a play? Barring the newest of games. Considering New Vegas if my run through Fallout 3 goes well.
Also if you've got an xbox live account look for a game called Doritos Crash Course. Its free, only around 50MB and its a good bit of fun, especially with a group of people. Supports 4 player local and online play. Only 15 courses on it at the minute and each will last roughly 2 mins, give or take a minute. Reminded me of
Total Wipeout
, one of the best shows on TV if you're after a cheap laugh at another person's expense.
Found these two songs recently too, both are pretty good imho. Not the best singer in the world but he's still very good.
Boo Hewerdine - New Years Eve
Boo Hewerdine - Patience Of Angels

I've actually been meaning to try those, I'm a fan of what Bioware can pull off (KOTOR ftw!). Dragon Age was a bit....meh for my tastes though a friend of mine ate it up. I can get 1 cheap no problems, number two shouldn't be too bad either, especially with post xmas sales etc happening.

Darksiders! Excellent execution of a mishmash of a lot of stuff that has already been done in other games. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Assassin's Creed 1, 2 and 2.5.

I've been through 2 copies of Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 and I recently completed 2.5. And by completed I mean I've bought every available building and completed every available mission. You could say that I'm a bit of a fan of the series :D.
I've seen the box for darksiders around loads of times and I've never thought of picking up a copy or even renting it for a night to give it a shot. I'll keep it in mind! Due to being unemployed for the last while my games collection is nowhere near the size it would be if I were employed so I've missed out on a few gems but it'll be nice to pick em up for 10-20 euros instead of the usual 50 when they're just released.
Am in the middle of setting up my xbox to be used as a media center for recorded tv...gives me a lot more options, no more waiting until I'm alone to watch the latest recording of House, I'm the only person in the house that enjoys the show, the rest of em don't have any taste.
While writing this I just found out that my copy of Reach will arrive next Tuesday, excellent timing! Oddly enough the Collectors Edition (with the journal and maps/docs etc) was over 20 euros cheaper than the normal edition that has just the game on its own. More stuff for a lesser price....I'm not gonna complain about that.
Edit(want to avoid double posting): Read reviews of Darksiders and had a look at the gameplay vids....it looks good. I had read about it months before it was released but it kinda slipped by me. Once I saw the gameplay and read the words "borrows from God of War and does it well" I was sold. God of War 3 would be my main motivation for getting a PS3 if I decided to get one. Found a copy for 15 euros in a local shop, once I have the cash I might go pick it up. Cheers for the heads up bud.

Put it this way, if I were to go out tomorrow to buy a PS3 and had a choice of any two games, I'd be taking the God of War Collection (1 and 2 in HD? Yes please!) and God of War 3. Those games were just great fun. I heard it also resembles Zelda in some parts, Zelda being the reason I bought a Wii.
