If karma was real, I'd be dead. I'll leave it at that.

I don't believe in supernatual kharma (the bastardized version that Face and Squish dicussed), but I think that the argument that the former example of kharma seems perfectly logical.
If I make a habit of being a total jackass, it seems logical to assume that I will become alienated from other people and that peopel will be more prone to being jackasses to me. Likewise, it makes perfect sense that people who help people that need it are more likely to later be helped when they need it, simply because people feel inclined to reciprocate altruistic behavior.

Neither I'm joking,
you should know in high school in particular, people are often praised for being jackasses while friendly people are often ridiculed, of course this may turn into karma justice latter in life but its not directly not related to jackassery.Ah... I mean more total jackassery. If I'm a jackass to everyone, everyone is gonna be a jackass to me, hence, kharma. If I'm a jackass only to those with whom it is socially acceptable to be a jackass to, and it
may
end up biting me in the ass... for example if he ends up being more successful than I, or it may not.

which is really a midpoint between atheism and agnosticism
Atheism and Agnosticism are not two ends of a spectrum, they're on overlapping portion of a venn diagram.
I am an Atheist, I am also an Agnostic. Agnosticism deals with knowledge. Do I know there are gods? Nope, Do I know there are no gods? Nope.
I disagree with your definition of agnosticism, but that's a debate for another thread, rather than derailing this one.

Deism
or
Agnostic Theism
than de facto Agnosticism to me, or have you altered it since then?

My definition of 'true' Agnosticism is that of Agnostic Theism - a belief in an unknowable god. But again, this is a discussion for another thread.

Rather than making a new thread, I would bump this one.
Had a friend the other day who believes people live and die by karma.
I'm in more favor of the fact that probability and timing plays a more bigger role than just karma.
Of course, if you steal enough, you increase the chances of getting caught, and when those probabilities go up higher and higher into the long run, you would get caught, as some people would misconstrue karma.
Karma to me, is if you did a horrible crime, one day, when ur out walking, a car is going to randomly hit and instantly kill you. But aren't there innocent people who lived a decent honest life that goes through that sort of experience? The fact that the person died, was because he/she decided to walk on the sidewalk, not because karma wanted revenge, and purposely timed everything so perfectly that a driver would hit him/her. /shrug
But how about those who know that when they steal something, they will always get away with it. Or those folks that's killed so many people, but living a luxurious life, only to die of old age.

And that has nothing at all to do with the idea of Karma Facesmasher.

I call everyone by the name I first met them on the forum as.
Karma is about balance; you do good in the world, you get good back. You do evil in the world, it comes back on you. Karma is not a deity though such as God, it's a mind set; and random accidents do not have anything to do with karma. Things happen because they happen, and you can't blame karma for that.
