Feral Weapon Swap for PvP... Avoiding the GCD!

(What the hell? I just made this post and it didn't appear... oh, here goes nothing!)
Alright, so I chose the road less traveled and became a feral pvper; it's not as popular as resto or boomkin, and definitely not as easy as pawning with a hunter or death knight :P but a whole lot of fun...
In any case, this is some of what I've learned along the way, reading the forums and exploring wowwiki, I thought I'd make it easier on fellow druids by putting it all in one place. So here it is, my guide to feral pvp weapon switching, from basic methods to advanced strategies...
Weapon Switching Basics: The Macro:
/Equip name of weapon
/Equip name of offhand weapon
/Equip name of relic
Weapon Swapping whilst Avoiding the GCD
In order to do this, you must macro a spell, any
instant
spell, and add the weapon switch afterwards... that is all. That spell will not have the extra sp, but you won't waste any time in a GCD either. It's one click (or button push), and triggers the spell and switches weapons, all in 1.5s.
Cyclone and Weapon Switching Macro:
/cast cyclone
/equip etcetcetc
Since you'll use cyclone a whole lot to heal, it only makes sense to do this; even instant cyclones trigger the GCD and you'll be set for a regrowth, nourish, rejuvenation combo, or whatever you prefer.
Lifebloom and Weapon Swap Macro:
Same logic as before, only this time you get 1 lifebloom without extra sp and the other two with. Great for getting a quick heal without losing the 1.5s you'd need to switch weapons, and thus may use on, say, a rejuvenation or nourish.
Shifting + Feral Weapon Macro
/cast Dire Bear Form
/equip feral weapon(s)
That way whenever you are in forms you'll have your feral weapons equipped, and no extra 1.5s GCD is needed to equip your dps weapon.
That is all folks, a feral pvp veteran's tips and strategies, hope this helps :)

Does swapping while casting not interrupt your cast anymore (I'm sure it used to)?
That is, your Cyclone cast, for example?

I thought I remembered this from a patch a while ago when these macros became commonplace:
(
Source
) Patch 2.4.3 - 15 July 2008
Equipping an item will now cancel any spell cast currently in progress.

bump!
Here's the deal, this will work for sure with lifebloom and shifting forms (rejuvenation as well, but it kinda ruins it); so all the instant casts for sure. Tried, tested and true up to and including patch 3.3
Can't say about a non-instant cyclone though, I've been out of the game for a few months now and macroing cyclone to my weapon swap was something I came up with during that time. Hope it works, but I wouldn't count it. Too bad though, that was actually the best part of after spell cast weapon switching for feral druids. I'll try it out when I can (next week probably), And if it doesn't work, I'll probably be making 2 macros/key binds for cyclone, one for the instant cast, and one for the full 1.5 cast. Or perhaps a macro that detects whether nature's switfness is active and only do the weapon swap then, if that's possible (something like the macros), I'll check it out and let you know, unless, that is, someone else wants to do it for me...

If that's the case, I would suggest you edit the OP in this part...
In order to do this, you must macro a spell,
any spell
, and add the weapon switch afterwards... that is all.
...to clarify that it is, in fact, any
instant
spell.

bump x2!
''Note that macros CANNOT cast spells based on BUFFS, DEBUFFS, COOLDOWNS, TARGET DISTANCE/POSITION, HEALTH, MANA, RAGE, ENERGY, or COMBO POINTS''

The UI&M forum here is quite a good resource for all things macro.

Thanks pelf, for filling in the holes; I changed the original OP to avoid confusion and unnecessary reading.
I still hope this helps some druids, I read a post yesterday were the consensus was that, in order to switch weapons and heal, the best option was to run away, switch weapons, and then heal... and this is still better imo.
