1) I have my video settings rather high and it still sometimes takes my computer a while to populate the traps (and it seems independent of how much action is going on, regardless of it being 10 or 25m). So far I haven't found a reliable way to make them show up quickly. If you're worried about stepping on one because they don't appear fast enough just move forward slowly in an area you suspect might have one. Detect Trap has a 50ish yard range (a little bit out of Disarm's range) so as long as you don't go running around at full speed you should see it long before you step on it.
2a) There are always two traps up at the beginning, normally one in each room. Sometimes both traps start in the same room. When you trigger one trap another one spawns in a random location (disarmed traps don't spawn a new one). The first trap is almost always in the center of the first room in my experience, but I've had it on either side (at the foot of the Warders), in front of the room's entrance right at the threshold, and even on the dirt mounds on sides of the doorway where the torches are.
2b) You start with one trap on a random side and when you trigger that one another appears in a different location in my experience. I do know I recall having triggered two before when my guild first started doing ICC, but ever since I've been told to just Disarm the traps I've only ever seen one.
3) About an hour after it was originally disarmed or triggered.

The video doesn't help.
I know there are always at least 2 traps before Marrowgar and 2 in the Plagueworks.
Now, Some of the things I have seen are, you get so far into a room and then a trap appears behind you or elsewhere. It also seems to me that you can get so far through the trash and then more traps spawn. These may be a respawn of a set off trap or a new trap, I don't know. I have also seen traps vanish after a time in rep runs and then a new one respawns elsewhere. I haven't gotten the time down or if there are indeed a specific number. I have seen up to 4 at one time before Marrowgar though I had disarmed 2 of them.
It is a good thing to keep us rogue types on our toes and I like the idea of having another good reason to have a rogue in the raid over a feral druid for the DPS. I also liked being the first person in my guild to find and disarm one and to instruct others in them. Was kinda cool.

In the Plagueworks it seems that they spawn as you kill Rotface and Festergut. So there seems to be none until you kill the first guy, then 1 will spawn, etc. If anyone else has had different experience I'd like to hear it.
They're independent of Festergut and Rotface. After killing Precious and Stinky I always comb both sides of the hallway and manage to find a trap before we even engage one of the bosses. But they seem to be like the Marrowgar traps in that the second will only spawn if the first is triggered.

that's strange...I'm yet to detect a trap (or have my guildies set one off) at that wing leading to Fester / Rotface - even after killing the muts on steroids.
