Dear Wowhead
I was reading on WoWwiki about Quel'thalas during today's downtime, and I came across a
strange link
.
After reading it I decided to venture over there....
...and bring back pictures!
52,25
The Original Quel'thalas
The Ruins
Amongst the Ruins
The Archway
The White Tower
The White Tower Pinnacle
Overwhelmed by the beauty...I had to take a rest...
Well, I hope you enjoyed the tour! To see Quel'thalas....the way it once was....
For me, I cant wait till Cataclysm, as I will frequent the area on my flying mount.
Hopefully it remains untouched by the devastaion...and if it does get destroyed? Well then, thats why we take pictures....
Wish you were here!

Wait, you mean there are
actually
people, such as yourself, who haven't been there before? Amazing. Easiest exploration there is.

Probably all the 'instanced' areas will be changed in Cata, to keep people from just flying over into them.

Not like i walked up in here boasting on how i stuck my flag there and christened it my own lol.
I just found it strange and I think its a cool lil area and i thought it appropriate to share it with my peers. Im not bashing the look of Eversong Woods, but id prefer it to look more like a regular forest...you know with actual green trees. But i understand Blizzard wanted a zone unique to the bloodelves and to make it like an anti-nightelf forest.
The place deserves a flight path, an innhouse, peacekeepers, a battlemaster, arena master, an AH, Gamon, and a lvl ? elite high elf that turns out to be Ranger General Alleria Windrunner hiding out with amnesia, maybe she can give out a daily...oh yeah id hearth there all the time...im rambling...but i just love this area. Remember the secret area in super mario world? the one in the donut plains you unlock at a ghost house? reminds me of that.

Thank you Gammosh for your post. I almost have the Explorer title on my Druid (just need SoS and Northrend), but I've never heard of this place before, and it looks... amazing. This is definitely on my list of things to do now.

I'm not trolling, there are at least 5 other topics I've seen with the same thing on them. It's not new information.
Edit: And if I were to go around posting every place on here, I'd end up banned in a week. It really is simple to get to these places, some just require a little more flexibility. Some also require certain classes. Wowhead shouldn't be subject to amateur exploration.

not everyone runs or swims along the entire coastline to find stuff like this, been playing since vanilla myself and until that one thread popped up a few weeks ago, I never heard about the place and was fascinated to know there was still some stuff i didnt know.

I haven't seen this before, and I've lurked this place for ~3 years, so I don't see where '5 topics...' come from.
Nice pics, though I don't see anything special about it. Looks kinda the same as any other zone, tbh.
I prefer Eversong then, with some epic RPG-ness, wohoo! You can always go Teldrassil if a more 'normal' wood is what you're after.
Thanks for the pics though!

Very cool Gam. I also have been playing since about 3 weeks after launch, and have not seen this place.
And, sorry to hijack your post, but Apodictic brings up something that really annoys me about alot of posters on this, and other forums.
So what if there are 5, or 50 other posts about this? If Gam had searched up a post from more than a few days ago, and made a comment on such, you would probably be first in line to jump on him for necro posting. If he asked a question, you would probably jump on him to read the stickies.
If i had to guess, I would say that 90% or more of ANY topic, question, or comment is probably found within this site, if you are willing to look hard enough for it. So what is the point of allowing ANY new post at all? How interesting would Wowhead be if only NEW ideas, questions, or comments were posted? My opinion is it would be a dead, worthless, database. As it is, it is a thriving, active community, and that is what allows it to exist as it does. I really doubt a dead database would have the following that this forum does, and without the dailiy visitors, it would not recieve the ad revenue that it does, and would soon no longer exist.
TLDR: Like my momma always said, "If you can't say something nice, then just STFU" ....or something like that.
Haha, this.

Have we forgotten the topic, or are we still trolling me for commenting?
Edit: Some people get banned for exploration, perhaps I should make a few posts on places that I can guarantee you haven't seen outside Youtube.

I think this is a leftover from Vanilla and basically what you see if you try to access "Quel'thalas" by swimming there as opposed to going through a portal in Eastern Plaguelands or flying there..or using the translocator in Undercity, etc. If you don't have the BC expansion then this is all you get of Quel'thalas!
I find it interesting that this must've been Blizzard's "vision" of what happened to the land of the Quel'dorei after Arthas destroyed it with the Scourge. Then they decided an expansion was in order..so we got what we have now. I'm glad they left this in to make life a bit more interesting for us "explorers" (though you don't need to find this for the Explorer title).
My husband did the swim with his Dwarf and was as surprised as the original poster was. He was amused at how he was indeed somewhere in Ghostlands on his map but was still swimming around in the ocean the northern land mass in Eastern Kingdoms. Kinda reminds us that we are indeed playing a video game. ;)

Yeah, and
I'm
the troll. You people have much worse to worry about.
Also, I will make a post. Chances are I'll end up banned over the multitude of trolls/idiots on this forum, but I've had a fun time.
FYI, use a water-walking ability, or make friends with someone who has one. Makes the trip faster for those who haven't seen this place.
