Does Haste Reduce GCD?

I've noticed that when spells like Bloodlust or Judgements of the Pure are activated, the GCD seems to come around faster. I was wondering if Haste actually does reduce GCD time?

And if so, would this be useful for Retribution Paladin's DPS?

Haste reduces the GCD for spells, but not for weapon strike abilities. So to provide a couple of examples, it would affect Holy Light and Consecration GCDs but not Divine Storm or Crusader Strike.

So haste is fairly indifferent for Ret DPS.

That's primarily because haste improves weapon melee speed.

There's been some work on whether haste improves the rotation much. Essentially, it means that if you're using a Consecration in between Crusader Strikes, then you're going to get to the next Crusader Strike a little bit faster, upping your DPS. But the effect isn't really that much by comparison.

Hasted Melee DPS = Normal Melee DPS / (1 - Haste%)
Increased melee DPS % = 1 / (1 - Haste%) - 1 = 11% @ 10% haste

Just say that we use CS every 4.5 seconds. 10% haste reduces GCD of Consecration from 1.5s to 1.35s, so we can use CS every 4.35 seconds if we use Consecration or Exo.

Hasted CS DPS = CS dmg / 4.35
Normal CS DPS = CS dmg / 4.5
Increased CS DPS% = 4.5 / 4.35 - 1 = ~3% @ 10% haste.

So you can see, it doesn't improve our ability DPS by much at all.

Haste also lets one stack Vengeance faster... by a second or two.

Im not clear yet on how much T10 2p ups ArmPen, but i doubt its worth stacking, as you'll have to stack alot (several 100) for it to really get to its potential.
