the extra hit would proc.... 5% of the time.. i know, math genius here. maybe numbers would help you understand more? if you swing your sword 100 times, 5 of those will likely have been an extra hit that proc'd off this talent. You can take any number of swings you want, and multiply it by .05, and you'll have found out how many times it proc'd out of that many swings. One thing to consider though, is it is a chance on hit, so its not gunna happen exactly once every 20 hits. Sometimes you'll have dry spells with no procs, other times it'll proc a few times in a row.
Its basically just like extra crit, except it isnt susceptible to resiliance like crit is.

Sword>Axes
Bliz made axes pretty weak in PVP by adding resilience.
I used to roll axes on my orc, my crit chance was around 40% and didn't do much for me.
I went mace and never looked back.

axe.
Why people are so stupid?
Ofc axe.
Resi doesnt demenish axe. Axe is the counter of Resi.
the OPPOSITE
Axe spec is a passive new skill that says.
"Reduces your enemies Resi by 200"

Mace spec - Sunns the enemies for few secs.
so...they are stunned and?...
whats the diff between hamstringed hunter and stunned one for 2 sec? you can hit him just the same.
and come on it procs like.....once in a lifetime.
so whats better,
reduce enemies ressi by 200 or 5% to stun target for 2-3 sec?
think for ursleves

And you completely skip the fact that resilience reduces the amount of damage a critical strike does.
I'm currently wielding Deep Thunder on my warrior, which is great fun. Although I generally get my ass kicked by Gladiator's Greatsword wielding crazies (stun and warriors don't go well together with second wind and all, when you try to beat them).
The stun from mace spec is godly vs. casters and just generally good overall. The sword spec's got some pretty amazing burst potential. Axe is only decent, imo.
As icedtc, it's been discussed in great detail.

Get a mace if your serious about pvp. Here is a list of some things that the other specs do not do..
Interrupt crucial heals that would otherwise save an opponent's life.
Stop a resto druid while hes in caster form.
Stop a mage from finishing off your team mate.
Keep a warlock from running away.
Screw up a rogues stun rotation , letting you get in another swing.
Cause you to gain rage just from the proc, giving you rage while attacking a priest with a shield up.
Plus it isn't diminished by resilliance.
You can say, oh well the other specs cause you to do more dmg. They do, but thats not the goal of pvp.

I've always been a fan of the sword spec. It doesnt always proc, but
when it does it's orgasmic. Plus, it makes running low levels characters
through instances really easy when your duel weilding swords. Endless
Rage FTW!

Orc warrior here.
The extra crit from axe really does help for more burst damage. When I was axe spec, my burst damage potiential was much higher and overall damage output is higher. I tried Mace, and the damage is not as high, BUT it helped me stayed alive much longer because of the stun. The stun proc is unbelievably high even though they say it's 10% or so. I absolutely loved it when the stun proc when my opponent is about to die (20% hp or lower), the extra rage, popping a bloodrage, and pulling an execute.
In all honesty, Axe is still a viable option and not as bad (it's crazy effective in BGs), but Mace is the preferred weapon specialty for Arena PVP. Basically any kind of extra cc ability is a must - which makes Mace stun invaluable. Sword is quite nice, but I wouldn't go sword spec without T3 Lionheart. Whirlwind can be quite a burst damage when the extra attack proc while at the center of a large crowd - especially nice when you are defending a flag post in bg.

I haven't heared much about the negating 200 resiliance thing. Is this a change
that will be made in 2.4 or is thia already in effect? Because if its
already here, I'm gonna pick up the season 3 axe instead of the sword.
It was a joke. He was being sarcastic.
