I have a lvl 40 tiger and I trained him with prowl, and now I cant get him out of it. It never showed up on his action bar. Can someone tell me how to get him out of prowl?

Are you sure it never showed up :) (you could have taken it out of the action bar by mistake, you can find it by pressing P and then go to the pet tab). You have to get the skill out of auto by right click-ing on it, and then just left click once on the skill ... it the prowl skill does not appear on the skill action bar of the pet then I'd say it's a bug

Open a ticket?
Or re-train a different pet but the same mob.

Thanks for this info. I have several hunters and all of a sudden the cats went into stealth and stayed there. What you said has made all the difference. Am getting them out easily now.

As of 8.3, this doesn't work. I still cannot left click the prowl command in the book or on the action bar, it does nothing.
Right click works to turn swirly effect on or off. But he's ALWAYS in stealth whether it swirls or not. Reported bug again to Blizz.
update: Finally found a solution elsewhere in Wowhead. Go outside and have your pet attack something, anything.
BUT, if you have the second pet (talent: Animal Companion), make sure the main pet is close enough to hit immediately, or else he walks slowly in stealth, and 2nd pet beats him to it.
