I have a enUS client version of WoW (Vanilla, TBC) and wondering if I get a enGB wolk client, would it be compatible? Would it convert my enUS to enGB?

Hmm. Ok, so if I have a toon on a US server, I won't be able to play him on there, but I would have to start fresh on a EU server? The usage of "account" in there confuses me as to if you're referring to my gaming account, or my client altogether.

enGB would be making use of the EU client.
The US and EU realms are completely separate. If you wanted to have a character on an EU realm, you would have to start from scratch, with a EU account. You cannot transfer characters between the two types of realms, either.
Also, in order to play on a EU realm, you will need an EU account. You will need an account made on the European WoW site, with a key from a EU WoW client. Your US account will not be compatible with the EU realms in any way.
It used to be possible to set you client to login to the EU realms by changing a setting in your config.wtf, but it appears Blizzard has disabled this recently (as it was never supported to begin with). Hence you will need a EU client for EU realms, and a US client for US realms.
In short, if you want to play on both US and EU realms, you will need two accounts, one for the EU and one for the US, and two clients installed, one for the EU and one for the US. Hope that helps.

Ah, yes. That cleared it up quite well. Thanks. :)
