Cannot connect to News server.

Hi there.
Ok my problem is this. When i boot up wow the first screen you get is the news server. (Play buttom in the bottom right hand corner). The screen says unable to connect due to network error. please check connections etc. I press play and the game runs fine and plays fine. Anyone know why I cannot connect to the News server. I am using a network card in my computer and also a wireless hub. Tried by passing this but no luck.
Any advice please. Apart from wipe your hard drive and start again :) That's the very last thing i want to do.

That's the Launcher and I get that issue every so often (today too). It's probably just their news server.

Thx guys.
I dont think it's Wow's server as this has been going on now for several days. It must have something to do with my system, trouble is I have no idea where to look to start and try and fix the issue.

I've had this issue before. Usually it occurs when I'm behind a firewall, or a really wonky, hackish network connection.
You could try adding the Launcher.exe to your firewalls exception list, but if that doesn't work, I don't know what to suggest.
