The Crown of Terenas Menethil II

I was reading about the father of out Great Enemy,
King Terenas Menethil II
of Lordaeron, on Wowwiki earlier and I saw the bit about his tomb in the ruins above the Undercity. The engraving on the side caught my attention. Specifically the part about the crown. No one knows where it is? I mean, after Arthas assassinated Terenas, no one thought to pick it up? What's up with that?

Well lets see, Arthas's murder's his father, mass army of undead streams into the castle, Queen and Princess are running for their lives, pyscho death knight who looks like the lost son in the throne room standing there with a blade covered in his father's blood.
I think they had other thing's on their mind at that point heh.

I didn't realize there was an undead army waiting outside Lordaeron to burst in the moment Arthas finished killing Terenas.

I imagine Arthas stationed a large force just beyond a hill or something, so they wouldn't see it. It's also possible that this particular army was made up of the recently dead, so they appeared alive and mingled with the other citizens. Throw in disguised living cultists and necromancers and you got one hell of a party.

Should have put in streaming, if you watch the video you see arthas with several escort's entering the Throne room, then after the scene, you see the start of the scourge campaign, with Lordaeron in ruins. So you'd think that it wasnt just Arthas alone, it was the start of the Undead assaults on Lordaeron and the surronding area.

Fun Fact: His two Death Knight escorts were Falric and Marwyn, two of his Captains in life. :)
I hope to Cthulhu that they come back as bosses in the Icecrown Raid.

I'm fairly certain the crown will be part of the Lich King's loot table in Icecrown.

Hopefully a cloth helm. ^_^
Well, if DKs, Pallies and Warriors could get Frostmourne, my priest deserves the crown...

The two men that Arthas stormed into the Kings chambers was
Falric
and
Marwyn
, the first Death Knights to join his service. After Terenas was murdered, Falric and Marwyn (if you read their pages) went out into the city, given the task to slay the citizens and turn them to the undead, the first of the Scourge.
So yes, there was an army in Lordaeron, but it was it's own citizens.

And to think they threw rose petals at him, how rude.

Those rose petals made no sense to me. I didn't see any citizens throwing rose petals, so it was kind of weird =P

this is off topic but does anyone realize that it says in his title Teneras Menethil
the second
was there a 1st teneras before the actual king?
Post by
Skreeran
I think that's what's implied by the "Second" after his name. :P

i mean it has 2 numerals after his full name but when you say it, you say the second

It's
Terenas
, not Teneras. For the record, making me say "Teneras" is pure torture.
On to the topic now...!
Here is what Terenas' "tombstone" says, for those who haven't been there recently:
...
"May the Father lie blameless for the deeds of the son.
May the bloodied crown stay lost and forgotten."
Which implies that the crown is not in possession of Lordaeron (or any of the other human kingdoms, as they would've given it up). Arthas might have it. That's rather possible. It may be lost lost.
...And I ran out of things to say =\
