Ok for sure main stats for disc priest is int, and u max it asap, then get crit)
But what about holy one? As for me i try to keep crit around 25% to have Surge of Light proc almost all the time.
So i keep this
25% crit > Max spd > Spirit > 10% haste
But on the other hand ALL priests in ensidia got Gemmed on int + geared on haste
so what is ur oppinion
The problem with answering this question is that it presumes that a Holy priest (or any healer) needs only one thing from gear. And this just isn't true.
DPS classes gear for only one thing: DPS. If you are a shadow priest in 3.1, your gem and enchant choices are simple: Runed Scarlet Rubies and spell power enchants. That's it as long as you are hit capped.
But healers have to gear for two largely unrelated objectives:
- throughput (or hps)
- longevity (mana pool and in-combat mp5)
The reason that Spirit is valuable to a Holy priest is that it provides both throughput (via Spiritual Guidance) and longevity (through IFSR Mp5, Holy Concentration, and Medititation). Int is the most valuable longevity stat because it enhances the IFSR Mp5 value of Spirit, increases mana pool size, and increases the mana regen rate from many effects such as Replenishment, Hymn of Hope, and Shadowfiend.
Holy Priest Longevity Stats:
Int >= Spirit > Crit (Holy Concentration, SoL) > Spellpower > Mp5
Holy Priest Throughput Stats:
Spellpower > Crit >= Spirit > Haste >> Int
These rankings are arguable. For a Disc priest, theorycrafting has yielded the following relative throughput ratios for the three main throughput stats:
- spellpower 1.0
- haste 0.68
- crit 0.58
So for Discipline, the best throughput stat by far is spellpower. I have not seen similar numbers for Holy, but I am sure that spellpower is best. A popular recommendation for an end game Holy priest Int to Spirit ratio is 1400 / 1200.
So, at the end of the day, what you gear, gem, and enchant for depends strongly on the answer to this question: "What do I need more?"
