What do you guys think of this? They made frost mages ice block available to everyone, should silence shot really be tuned to the marksman tree anymore?

Yes, and then we would have to listen to mages/ele shammy/warlocks/priests cry a storm.
And then everyone would have to roll a warlock to cast unending breath on everyone, so we can breath in the ocean of tears.
But because they are silenced because we just want them to shut up, they can't cast their spells.
It would turn from WoW, World of Warcraft, to WoW, World of Whinecraft.
And because it would be an ocean of TEARS, we would get fatigue and die.
And Druids in aquatic form would rule the world.
But back on topic:
Yeah. I think silencing shot would be pretty cool, but what would replace it on the talent tree?

I'm not sure I agree that it should be trainable but it certainly isn't worth 41 points, given that it has limited use in raiding.

True, it's pretty much useless in raids, but an inventive person can use it in their shot rotations for some extra dps ^_^
Replace it with something like the proc from felstriker - All attacks from you and your pet are guranteed to be critical attacks for the next 20 seconds.
With a 3 minute CD. Or something. lol.

Maybe 5-10 seconds with a half hour or an hour cooldown, but 20 seconds... ridiculous.

I think a new aimed shot that did uber damage would be appropriate - you know - something that can 1 shot a mage.

18 seconds when you can run around without any movement impairing effect which pretty much denies any power to rogues, mages, other hunters and more. Hmmm - thats pretty OP.
Anyway, 18 seconds of crit at about 2.8 seconds a shot (estimate avg) is only 6-7 crits, thats not terribly OP given what BM has.
Even so, I still think Markmen deserve a better end tree skill - particularily given BM's TBW and serpent swiftness (which is arguably the best talent in the game). I think I have plenty of reality and balance compared to the effed up situtation we have at present.

That's a more realistic suggestion, although a proc talent for 41 points is still a bit of a con.
First things first as far as the MM tree goes, Aimed Shot needs to be made trainable; the only reason to take it currently unless you PvP a lot is to get Mortal Shots. Yes it is a nice opener in conjunction with Misdirection but in all honesty, I could live without it. As a replacement it would be nice to see a talent which buffed it instead, either a reduced cast time or an AP-related damage increase.
I don't know anyone who has specced Imp. Arcane, Imp. Stings or Concussive Barrage...they pretty much suck. Imp. Stings is the right idea but doesn't give enough bang for 5 talent points. The other two should be replaced completely, perhaps CB with Nameme's above suggestion.
Combat Experience is a total con...2% of 500 Agi doesn't provide a meaningful boost and is a slap in the face compared to the might of Lightning Reflexes, which is at the same point in the Survival tree. It shouldn't be as big an increase if it is to be retained but it definitely needs to be more than that. 6% Int provides even less of a return, and is even if buffed would only be useful combined with Careful Aim...hunter mana issues are a totally different subject.
TSA needs to scale with AP, simply.
Master Marksman is reasonably solid, but like with some of the above talents 10% extra AP isn't a lot for 5 points. Especially in comparison to the awesomeness of Serpents Swiftness and Lightning Reflexes. Thinking about it, you're almost penalised with this talent the further you progress in the game, as AP suffers more from diminishing returns than other damage-related stats...perhaps the % could be beefed up and it could also provide another side effect, like an increased crit %.
If Silencing Shot is to remain as a 41-point talent it needs to use the same mechanics as Counterspell so it can be used against raid bosses which are susceptible to the latter (Aran springs to mind). Priest Silence has the same effect for longer (albeit with a longer cooldown), and much higher up the Shadow talent tree. If it remains as it is it should be moved.
