Is it just me, or does the level 2 Bunker look better for a level 3 Bunker? I hope they will change this towards the release :C

I can't stress enough how much this building NEEDS to be your first Large building on your garrison.

On warlords of draenor there is a new mechanic in place when you turn in quests and loot special items off rare mobs. Any time you get a quest reward, there's a small chance that reward will be rare or Epic instead of the usual green.

Same goes for rare mob drops.

By having this building, this chance is increased by 50%, and if an upgrade does happens, it increases the potency of the upgrade as well so I really can't empathize enough how badly you need to get this the second you reach level 92 and are allowed to upgrade your garrison to level 2 (at that point you get all the level 1 garrison blueprints). Of course the usefulness of this perk will diminish as you complete quests, eventually becoming zero once you've done all the quests that can be done on the expansion, but until that time, this building is priceless.

At level two, it allows you to obtain Iron Scraps any time you kill any mobs from the Iron Horde, these can be used to obtain sweet sweet transmog sets that are BoA, and also to obtain nice weapons and armor for your followers.

At level three, it it allows you to get one of your raid seals for free each week.

Even if you replace it later on, at least while you're leveling up, please do yourself a favor and get this building ASAP.

This is the Level 2 out of 3 levels in the Dwarven Bunker / War Mill:
Dwarven Bunker / War Mill Level 1: Doubles the chance for your quest rewards to get a rare or epic Bonus Upgrade, and increases the potency of the upgrade. Allows the collection of armor scraps from the orc clans of Draenor for armor transmogrification use.
Dwarven Bunker / War Mill Level 2: Opens up work orders for follower weapons and armor in exchange for garrison resources. Also, new armor transmogrification items unlock.
Dwarven Bunker / War Mill Level 3: Grants 1 of your 3 seals of tempered fate (raid bonus loot roll) at no cost each week.

This is unlocked by completing Nagrand Outpost which require level 98, or reaching level 100 on your character.
For Nagrand Outpost I would suggest the guide by perculia: Garrison Outpost Guide: Zone-Wide Perks, Quests, Followers
AND by acquiring Garrison Blueprint: War Mill, Level 2 for horde or Garrison Blueprint: Dwarven Bunker, Level 2 for alliance.
To get this you will have to buy it from one of following:

Torgg Flexington for 1 Comprehensive Outpost Construction Guide (Horde only)
Sparz Boltwist for 1500 gold (Alliance only)

This is the worst choice for large building once you are level 100.The work orders yield garbage for transmog and occasionally follower token.For the price of 20 resources per order it is completely not worth it , salvage yard provides much more follower enhancements even tho it is small building.

RNG is a big pain with this building. At a steep 20 Garrison Resources per work order, you will often times only find 1 singular Iron Horde Scraps which is a pittance. With how pricey the transmog items are, we should be receiving upwards of 5 per work order that does not yield a follower upgrade.

Since I see so many people trashing a very decent garrison building, I'd like to point this out.

We are very early in the expansion, therefore many of you have just completed your Garrison upgrade completely to level two. This buildings work order price is not steep.

Factoring in just Lumber Mill (Level Two) And Trading Post (Level Two) I have managed to keep their work orders going constantly.
Lumber Mill yields me 120 Resources a Day, while trading post yields me 180 Resources a Day. It only costs me 340 Resources for 17 work orders in the bunker, in other words by Lumber Mill and Trading post almost pay for it entirely.

On top of that, the Bunker only completes six work orders a day (120 resources) which I get more than that from missions in a day, making it even easier to keep the work orders stocked.

This building only seems useless because it's very early on, and you are resource starved. Once everything is level 2? You will get to the point where you have nearly nothing to do with your resources except missions and buy stuff at the trading post, or spend it at this building.

For a faster way of gathering follower upgrades, I do recommend this building because the Salvage Yard is only as effective as your mission success rates as well as how many missions you do. Since all my followers are 100, I really only have group missions taking 2-3 of my followers to complete, meaning I do about ~4 missions compared to the usual 7-9. And if those missions end up failing at all, I lose out on a salvage.

This building has been useful to me, the transmog option is nice to have, and it's taken no toll on my resources once I've finished my garrison to level 2. If you are still resource starved, then no I don't recommend using this buildings work orders, but if you are at that point where you can't spend any resources until you unlock the level 3 upgrades, then this building is nice for the extra chances at follower upgrades.

This building is really useful for questing and leveling, but once you get to lvl 100 its usefulness is reduced dramatically since its work orders rarely yield anything that's not iron horde scraps. Around 80% of my WO produces scraps, and just 1-3 scrap for WO.

At this point the salvage yard has been a better way to gearing up my followers, it's a small building that uses quests residues, not needing garrison resources.

At level 3 you'll get a seal of tempered fate for free which is kind of meh if you ask me, compared to the barracks which grant 5 aditional followers at lvl 3, 20% increased traveling speed from the stables, and teleporting provided from the mage tower.

Edited: Recently this building received a "buff" and now a WO usually yields 1-3 iron horde scraps... such a buff

If you are looking for follower sets and enhancements there is also a Salvage Yard Level 2, that gives Crate of Salvage from follower missions (there is a chance to get them from every mission after you build SY)

This IS a good building to have, BUT...for some reason (& I have no idea what the caveat for this is) at some point (for me it was reaching +ilvl 630) the damn thing stops yielding Follower Gear Upgrades.
This is EXTREMELY annoying when you are just about to lvl a couple of followers to 645 so they can complete a valuable rare mission. Salvage Yard does still drop these upgrades, but they become more infrequent as your ilvl increases. Logic?

If anyone has a clue as to the reasoning/mechanics behind this occurrence I would be grateful of the answer.
