This is one of the buildings that will be introduced with the Garrison in Warlords of Draenor expansion pack. This is the second level of 3, with 2 upgrades available.

This will very useful for all players, and has the following abilities for each level:
Level 1: Recruit new followers and grants access to new recruiting missions.
Level 2: Provides access to the Kitchen with a Cooking tradeskill merchant.
Level 3: Unlocks Specializations.
This can only be placed on a medium lot.

Other buildings that can be placed on a medium lot include:
Trading Post Level 3
Lumber Mill Level 1
Trading Post Level 1

To get the blueprints to upgrade Lunarfall Inn to level two: either buy them for 1,000 gold at Sparz Boltwist within your Garrison, or complete a quest that awards Outpost Building Assembly Notes, then go to Ashran to trade it in at Kinkade Jacobs.

Hello,

I have a level 2 Tavern, main character level 100 and level 3 Garrison.

I have picked-up and done 2 quests that gave me cosmetic items like :

Moroes' Famous Polish

Quests may be daily or one-time quests that give special rewards like cosmetic items.

When I recruited a follower, after I selected the ability / trait I wanted I was given 3 choices of level 90 followers (followers of different race and sex).

~~I don't find this building very useful so far considering the amount of time you have to invest to get those followers up to 100 and epic quality.~~

Actually considering the quality of followers you may get is random, even if a follower is level 90 it is highly worth it if he is epic. Leveling a 90 epic follower to 100 is way faster and easier than leveling a green 100 to epic.

This building is most likely the first medium plot you should build.

The daily quests reward some great toys, some of which are actually VERY practical like Aviana's Feather. For the full list check out Guide to Medium Garrison Buildings.

This also lets you get a new follower each week with the trait you decide. Yes, you get a lot of followers through questing to 100 and I know a lot of you out there will hit 100 in a week or less, but for MOST people who take longer than that this will allow you to fill in gaps in your ranks. In particular you will want to make sure to assign all your buildings with followers that have apprioriate traits (mining to the mine, herbalism to the herb garden, engineer to engineering building, etc). Note that this only happens at inn level 2, so use your "free" level 2 upgrade from Gorgrond on the inn (or else you'll have to wait until level 98).

After you are level 100 and you have filled in all the gaps in your follower ranks and you have all the toys, demolish this building and make whatever you want!

BE CAREFUL. At level 2 where you recruit followers by ability/trait, you cannot just browse through all of them at your leisure. When you select a category to browse, you have committed yourself to hiring 1 of the 3 followers in that category... so be sure to choose your ability/trait requirements carefully.

If you were wondering....

You are able to do these quests twice in one day, depending on if you're online when the Tavern/Inn quests reset. Once(if you haven't done the quest before), to obtain the unique quest reward, and once more as the repeatable daily.

For example, on the Oceanic servers, the Tavern quests change around 8pm server time. Pick up the new(or repeatable) quest, complete it, and come 3am server time, you can do it once more. If you're savvy, you can reopen the heroic dungeon lockout you used to do the initial quest, and do the quests once again solo.

Edit: 4th December, a hotfix was applied where you need to complete the dungeon after you pick up the daily item. My daily was for UBRS, acquiring a Shed Proto-Dragon Claw. Extending my completed UBRS lockout, I was able to pick up the item, and as soon as I hearthed out, I went to turn in the completed\\ quest, but was unable to do so for no obvious reason other than Blizzard stating that you need to complete the dungeon before turning it in.

So there you have it, no more cheesing this daily. GG People who dropped group after acquiring the item. You now need to fully complete the dungeon.

Trying to recruit followers to help out in my different plots. Need one with fishing, but that's not an option when selecting a Trait, yet the Fishing plot (Level 2) can employ a follower.

Turns out the "Angler" trait is unique to Nat Pagle, so he's the only follower who can work at the Fishing Shack.

Beware when recruiting followers with a Racial Preference. As Horde, I wanted one with Humanist, but when I went and take a look in the Garrison, the follower had Death Fascination.

TLDR; Racial Preferences are Faction-Specific.

Note: If you swap buildings you can NOT turn in the quests from the Inn/Tavern.

You also can not hand in these quests by visiting a friend's garrison.

I made the mistake of swapping out my Tavern for another building while there were still quests from there in my log; upon completion a gold ? appears on the mini-map but the NPC is not visible to interact with.

Okay, here are some little tips to help you do a lot of resources in no time and tips on how to gear your followers faster.

Let's start with gathering the resources
I've tried this on my 2nd character as well and now i have over over 5k resources gathered in less than 2 weeks (only from followers missions, no farming elites, no producing anything with lumbermill or tradepost). This also can be applied at any level, when you have built Lunarfall Inn / Frostwall Tavern Level 2 but it will be explained for beginners (players which have just started to play in Draenor and need some help). Advanced players may jump step 1,2 and 3.
Step:
1) Reach as fast as you can the level to do this mission Strike While the Iron is Hot (alliance) or this Strike While the Iron is Hot (horde)
2) Get one Outpost Building Assembly Notes
3) Go in Stormshield/ Warspear (in Ashran) and get Garrison Blueprint: Lunarfall Inn, Level 2, learn it and build it.
4) Having level 2 Inn makes you able to recruit new followers (1/week). Go and recruit your 1st one, BE SURE to choose his ability (trait) to be this one: Scavenger
5) You will need maximum 3 scavenger followers, but you can start producing resoures with the 1st one
6) Having a scavenger follower, make sure to assign him to mission that grants you resources.
7) If he doesn't match to the mission, do not worry, assign him to that mission. He will still have 50-60% chance of winning 3x the normal resources (100%+200%=300%). But the chance of winning also depends on his level. There are some missions who grant 500+ resources if you have 1 scavenger follower assigned to them.
8) Keep this going on, and soon you will have a huge pile of resources.

But wait! What will you do with the resources you do not need? Build a Trading Post Level 1, and trade them for materials, or you could trade resources for Seal of Tempered Fate Seal of Tempered Fate

EXTRA: DO NOT DEMOLISH your Inn because you still need to recruit some followers. They will need Epic Mount , to do the missions faster (any type of mission) and not keep your followers busy in one mission when other are available.

And now let's start with gearing the followers
Gearing followers is quite IMPORTANT. They will be able to do higher level missions, with higher reward in gold, resources, or ITEMS for you. Yeah, items! Beside level 615 items (or lower) they will be able to get you even level 640 items or level 655 from Highmaul (normal difficulty) after your gear the followers.
Step:
1) This step isn't mandatory but is VERY useful. Recruit 3 followers with Epic Mount , since you will need this to do the long duration mission (4,6,8,12 or even 24 hours mission). You may want to do the missions faster since you will do more mission in the same amount of time, which means more crates and more rewards and the followers will not be kept busy with some missions, when other are available. See step 2).
2) Important: build the Salvage Yard Level 2 or even BETTER, build it at level 3. After successfully finishing a mission, you will sometime get some crates which will drop follower items, or player items. having salvage yard at level 2 brings you Crate of Salvage, and at level 3 you will get Big Crate of Salvage . You will get follower items from crates, and if you do more follower missions, you will get more crates in the same amount of time. You can sell the player items for gold or disenchant them for the enchanting profession
3) Important: Build your Dwarven Bunker / War Mill Level 2 . Since you have it at level 2, you may want it level 3. Now you can produce follower weapons.
4) Do as many missions as you can, of course, you will need to win them to get the crates, and gear your followers.

step for player items: Gear 3 (or more) followers to epic gear (ilvl 645) to be able to unlock the Highmaul Mission for level 655 player items.

RECOMMENDATION: gear up first only epic followers (which have reached the maximum level)

EXTRA: try to make as many epic followers as you can, since they have more abillities and suit better for missions. Having epic followers, can help you level up other followers!

The recruit follower quest resets tuesday/wednesday at 03.00 - with the dailies, not in the morning with weekly resets.
