Night Elves, Worgen, Tauren, and Trolls can play Druids.
Druids can use daggers, 1H/2H maces, fist weapons, polearms, and staves.
Iconic Balance Druid abilities:
: Increases Starfall and Starsurge damage, and the effect of Lunar, Solar, and Stellar Empowerments by an additional 18%.

Lunar and Solar Empowerments also increase the critical strike chance of their corresponding spells by 15%.

Increase your maximum Astral Power by 30 and the critical strike damage of your Starsurge by 30%.
Starsurge and Starfall increase your Haste by 3% for 20 sec. Stacks up to 5 times, but gaining a stack does not refresh the duration.

What makes Balance special
: Use the power of the Sun and Moon to deal damage to foes from afar. Balance can call stars to fall on all your enemies, or burn your enemies with the power of the Sun.
: Balance Druids use
as their resource for all their spells. Healing spells still cost Mana but be careful since Balance Druids have a smaller mana pool than healer classes.

Scythe of Elune
Balance druids excel at spells and ability outside their regular damage rotation - they are the quintessential hybrid with tons of raid utility. Like all druids, they have the ability to shapeshift - a unique mechanic.
Balance druids are able to use the other shifts depending on talents and can choose to either strengthen their healing, survivability, or melee damage

When shapeshifted, they have striking fur combinations for every hair color in Bear and Cat form. These have received model updates in Legion!
Druids have the special zone

Changes in Patch 7.3
There are no changes in 7.3 for Balance Druids. Patch 7.3.5 will contain new raid content. This is when tuning/balancing changes are likely to occur.
Changes in Patch 7.2.5
had its damage bonus to
reduced to 50%, down from 60%. (~2% AOE damage nerf on most raid encounters.)
has been increased by ~11%. (~4% single-target damage buff on most raid encounters.)
The Emerald Dreamcatcher
has been changed to reduce the cost of Starsurge by 5
per stack (down from 7). In addition, the duration has been increased to 5 seconds (up from 3).
In the past, Blizzard had wanted to change this item's effect to be easier to play around. The primary reason to not change it, at the time, was because Balance Druid gameplay was rather simple -- and this effect was both difficult and rewarding to play. Part of the reason to change it now is because the old effect (3 sec duration) made it very difficult to use, and mostly due to latency. As you may have come to learn, dropping your stacks due to latency wasn't exactly the best of feelings. As a comprise the 5sec duration is very easy to play around (100% uptime on the bonus) and because the effect isn't as large, the "penalty" for dropping stacks isn't as harsh. Haste breakpoints still exist (25% Haste recommended, changed from before (31%)). The delta between player skill and performance/DPS output has been reduced.
Top-Tier players will notice a very small damage loss with this change.
If you struggled with this item's playstyle in the past, you will notice a fair buff to your damage. You should be able to keep up with even the best players...in terms of "getting the most out of the item."
Legendary Items added
Soul of the Archdruid
- Potentially our most useful legendary item. (Not the biggest damage boost, but has the most positive impact overall.)
- Fills a niche role and takes up a tier slot. It's good, but not great.
