It is like the Race you can to do for Training your Serpent Mount riding skill. After a while you know where to find the circles in the sky. Work in circles from the outside to the middle is I think the best and easy way to do it. Or vice versa.

Not sure if others do it at the same moment they use your circles as well. If so, wait till everybody is away ;-) For so far I can see there are plenty circles in the sky, more then the needed 50.

Edit 02-11-14; I can confirm, if there is somebody up there to doing the same they using the circles you want to use to. I just see 1 fly trough a circle I was flying to and it vanish before my eyes. So we need to wait till at least less people are there.

Edit 02-11-14; Making a line is working fine... accept there is a noob goes up and destroyed your attempt. Happens me now 3x. Score was 32, 34 and 49.

Edit 03-11-14; Try it today again, and still I see multiple players sharing the rings you need. My best attempt was 43. After that I hear over and over again that sound you hear when someone has started a try, and realize it is madness and you need so much luck. I will wait till Blizzard fix it.

It would seem there are actually exactly 50 of the feathers you need to get.

I just tried to get the achievement myself, and there were exactly three I skipped, believing that there was more than 50. Please note that that is not the case. I managed to get to 47, thinking that I could skip three because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough time to get them and then reach the next fire circle. However, upon 47 I couldn't see another circle of fire in the air and realized that I made a grave mistake and missed the exact 3 I needed.

Please don't make the same mistake as me.

Also, be warned that right now other players can steal your flame circles. This means that if someone else is doing the game or working on the achievement, have patience and wait for them to go as you won't be able to get yours.

Don't get discouraged either. It's an item / buff well worth it, and Longeria is right about one thing - starting from the outside and working your way in is the best option, and nearly got me my achievement.

If they don't change it before it goes live the achievement will be impossible to get. Even with 2 or 3 people trying to do it at the same time it simply isn't achievable. Hopefully it will be fixed beforehand. By that I mean not being able to interfere with other peoples rings.

Damn seems like the rings are shared between players and they respawn after a while which can make this achievement quite a hassle.
Best I was able to get was around 15-18 rings before not being able to get to any rings in time anymore.
Even at 1 in the morning, but believe that around the last few days not a lot of people will try to do this.

EDIT: Even at 4 in the morning a time which you would think most people are away, this achievement is still almost impossible to do, 30 is the max I got sadly enough :(

EDIT2: Seems like the whole, other people are able to get your rings is a bug which is being investigated at the moment.

I just had 37 Rings. And it works like this, when you start the challange new rings appears every time, there is no respawn they are spawned once for your challange, but they are at the same time shared with everyone else so if there is already someone flying around and you just start this challange, it means he is picking your Rings, thus you cant pick them and you are at the same time picking his rings which he didnt pick. I hope i wrote it clearly as i could

There's 60 rings in total confirmed. Yet throughout the whole festival of Darkmoon Faire - despite the time, 2 or more people will be attempting this, therefore it's currently impossible to get on live... Blizz need to hotfix/patch or fix this in anyway as it's making many wow players rage and get mad.

Its 03:55 AM right now and there's full of people STILL trying to get 50 rings and its frustrating as hell because there can not be more than 1 doing this, otherwise you wont get enough rings for the damn wings.

Unless Blizzard makes it so that people get their own phase while on this quest, or at least turn off CRZ for the Darkmoon Faire, this is going to be 1 pain to complete.

Even with attempts to coordinate who starts when, there's always A) the other faction & B) some "unpolite" people that live to make the life of others miserable that can easily ruin your attempts to get this achievement done.

My advice would be to wait out the storm; and if you're anxious to get it done ASAP, have some respect for your fellow players. Going up with 3 at the same time will only ruin it for everyone (including yourself)

On the merged EU Rp-PvP realms, we have a cross-faction line organized by someone who's communicating with both factions. It's THAT complicated, and still being screwed up now and then by people rushing up to the NPC or the rings bugging out.

In reference to the rings, I had 37 I think it was, about 5 seconds left on the buff, and simply lost flight. I had both the slowfall and the rings buff at once. Not sure what happened, but I did see the subzone change as I flew over, so maybe that did it.

On my server this morning, people are actually organised into a queue so that everybody is given 3 minutes before the next one goes up, this is really effective until too much people are coming and ruined it after 7:30AM. When less people are around, I highly recommend this method in late nights and early mornings since less people mean easier co-operation, and you won't be frustrated to see the last few rings being used by another player.

Just did it by organizing a line/queue and spamming trade with "Get in line if you want your wings/achievement, it will guarantee it as other players wont intefere. if you dont do it like this you wont make it and just screw others over."
Was a bit messy the first half hour or so but it worked somewhat. Would sometimes get people that was unaware and just doing dailies and stuff a few times but i think this is the only way to get it atm. There where 13 people in the line at 5AM to 7AM EU times just to put some perspective on it for people who might be wanting to wait until night time to do it solo. Other then that i can tell you that once you are alone up there and you have a somewhat decent route in mind its not that hard to get. Good luck to anyone who wants these wings, they look amazing.

Is it possible to fire yourself up in the air repeatedly but NOT take rings, in order to respawn them? If so this might be a much, much faster way to get everyone the achievement very very fast.

There's a hint if you want to do it now instead of waiting for a a fix.The method is: let your friend invite you to the PVE realm(if u are not on it), enable the PVP mode, and the rings should be "personal", well actually not personal, still split betwenn those who are pvp-flagged, but since no many knows about this abuse you will do it from the first run.

Go to System and turn your Particle Density up as high as possible, it helps so much, you see the rings much more clearly than if on Low, like I did.

if theres too many people on your server doing this, and youre on a pve server, you can toggle on PvP and only people with PvP turned on shares the rings with you!

Please stop down-voting the comments about servers forming queues; while it will be irrelevant as soon as it is hotfixed, it is a rather nice reminder that sometimes even anonymous strangers can be decent to one anther. Even cross-faction.

Anyone else getting dropped down out of the challenge before the "buff" timer runs out? It does it to me every time forcing me into slow fall when there is plenty of time left on the "buff"...

While the game is bugged: If you flag yourself as PVP, the people who are not flagged can no longer steal your rings. Only other flagged people can take them.

Also, the Day of the Dead costumes seem to help when used while pvp flagged, but I can't guarantee the process is any easier with it for certain. I did get the 50 rings achievement tonight after flagging on a pve server.

I have to say one of the biggest hurdles to overcoming this achievement was learning to adapt to when rings were missing from my usual course. Use the above imgur link as more of a guide.. Follow it when possible, but if you CAN'T see a ring where you're headed, and see a clear path elsewhere I highly recommend you follow your gut and just aim directly for it. Scan around for the next ring while doing so. I got my last ring by the skin of my teeth, but managed to aim myself directly at it and get it just in time.

Best of luck to everyone trying to get this, really a challenge with other players attempting it as well!

EDIT: Since this was hotfixed it really isn't as relevant anymore. Following the planned out path above was enough to allow my girlfriend to complete this with a little guidance. Goodluck!

All the maps and flight paths and whatnot really don't do any good, mainly because they don't take into account the idiots that just fly around in a frenzy looking for any ring they get. This is another case of another good idea in theory from a dev, but just terrible execution.

I made these flying round clicking a macro so they not be entirely accurate, and I no doubt missed
a few due to the bug making players share rings (patch 6.0.3), but they could still be of some help to
players looking to earn Brood of Alysrazor for their Blazing Wings.

How do I use this list?
TomTom is an in-game navigation addon available to download and install here.
After installing the addon you will need to re-launch your game client and
create in-game macros using the list above. Place them on your action bars
and click each of them to display the waypoints on your map.

For as long as the bug with shared rings is active, the best way to obtain it is as following:

Get invited by a level 90 on a PvE realm. You'll be zoned into his realm.
Enable your character for PvP
Get yourself in the air, by talking to the questgiver, and begin your journey

By doing this you will be without any competition if you are lucky.
As long as no other player is doing the achievement while you are, you have a high chance on obtaining it.

Have fun while airborn, and watch your tails.

I made a toon on the Latin American server Quel'Thalas. Even though it was packed, I flagged for PVP and got it my first try. Incase you didn't know, game token price varies with your level. 20 tokens only cost around 1-2 silver for a level 5, unlike a few gold for a level 90. You can do a few starter quests and move onto DMF quick and get your Blazing Wings this way if it hasn't been fixed yet.

I did flag for PvP before so I can say if it was that, or if a hotfix has come in.
But anyway the gates are open. Go get your wings

Rings were fixed today and are no longer shared.

I explain this here while showing you my route. There are 60 rings to my understanding with a 50 ring requirement; therefore, there's some breathing room.

Confirmation: Speaking to a GameMaster.

PvE Servers: If the server is high populated and more then 20 people is attempting this achivement at the same equal time, there is one other way to do it and it is legal, however we will be fixing this in a sooner patch, most likely not before Darkmoon Faire ends.

When should i try this?
- You could anytime you want. (evenings/nights are best, less people active).
Personally i would recommend that you try between 2:45AM to 5:10 AM "EU Server time".

How to get it...
- Accept the quest = Turn on PVP ( /pvp ), on your pve Realm, Start the Quest/Achivement run.
- Its highly important to also disable the pvp straight upon complete achivement.

This is only a temporarily solution and should only be considered as an solution until the hotfix then pvp/pve will be equal on same realm, and you cant attempt to get private rings or shared rings with other pvp players.
NOTE: However we have found that on PVP activation the rings wont despawn if another faction take it before you.

Please note that there is a Path created by Clampy Picture here: Ring path @ DMF

Here is an overview of the 3-part achivement:
A. Flying High - Collect 10 Blazing Rings.
B. Ringmaster - Collect 25 Blazing Rings.
C. Brood of Alysrazor - Collect 50 Blazing Rings.

Contrary to what some people claim, there ARE more than 50 rings. I got mine this morning on an empty dmf island, flew through a total of 57 rings. (keep in mind that the stacking buff caps at 50 stacks) I do not however recommend skipping any rings as it is easy to overlook some as well.

Might be willing to point out that all your characters get this achievement and the wings once you get one. BUT, only your characters who are 85+ can USE the wings. Which is sad. :(. Also, the wings just instantly appear in your bag, unless you have full bags, so clear out them bags!

*Wow.. Why so much downvoting? People getting this might want to know that their low-level alts aren't going to be able to use this if they're under 85.

Darkmoon Faire

Reduced the levels of Moonfang, Moonfang Packmate, Moonfang Dreadhowl, Moonfang Snarler, and Darkmoon Rabbit back to pre-Warlords expansion levels. The creatures needs to respawn for the changes to take effect.
Heirloom items sold at the Darkmoon Faire should no longer have a gold cost associated with them.
Firebird's Challenge: Blazing Rings are no longer shared with other players.
It's Hammer Time: Characters that have been flagged as PvP enabled should now be able to complete the quest.

I took a look at Clampy's map after seeing Feliciamarie's comment about it and tried her TomTom coordinates to only find out that they are BACKWARD. When you do a list of coordinates you start at the top with the end point to then to the start point. That way the TomTom's arrow starts at the beginning of your run, not at the end. Below is the correct sequence of coordinates that match Clampy's map and the start point on the map. I also added ring numbers (starting at 1 going to 56) which makes knowing how many you have completed, easy mode. I also use Paste, which was mentioned in the comment section here. So if you have to run it again, just make sure you have pasted the coordinates below into Paste and hit the "Paste and close" button each time you have to do this run and it will make sure that TomTom is refreshed with all the coordinates. It will not add duplicates to it (it over writes any that are in the same spot).

Latest Blue Post about the Wings.

There were some issues with certain cosmetic effects, such as Blazing Wings, attaching to shapeshift forms incorrectly (e.g. backwards, upside-down, etc). We had to disable them temporarily, but we've isolated the issues causing the bug, and should have it fixed for the next major patch. We think a feral Druid with fiery wings is going to look pretty sweet too.

Longer-term, we're working on a way to allow cosmetic toys that completely take over your character (such as Smite's Brass Compass or Krastinov's Bag of Horrors) to work with shapeshift forms as well. I don't have details to share on exactly how that's going to work yet, but we're working on a solution that will allow everyone to enjoy their toys, without hurting gameplay for other players (such as being able to recognize when a Druid is in Cat form and thus unable to be Polymorphed).

Achieved Brood of Alysrazor on the third attempt.

The first attempt, I really had no idea what I was doing other than collecting the rings and not paying attention to the buffs at all! So, I just flew around the faire area, achieving Flying High in seconds. In the same attempt, however, after achieving Ringmaster, I flew too far out of the way and failed to keep the Wings of Flame and Blazing Ring buffs active (which can only be done by collecting rings before the buff timers end).

Upon failing, a Slow Fall buff was placed on me so I could land to the ground safely. This was done automatically through the quest and not given by a mage. I ran back to NPC Ziggie Sparks and tried again.

Second attempt, keeping a close eye on the buffs I did the same thing but then decided to venture out a bit more towards the westside of Darkmoon Island, where Rare NPC Moonfang spawns but missed a couple of rings and the buff timer ended before I could reach any close rings as they were more spread out in this area. I failed at 37rings.

The third successful attempt, I flew towards the westside of Darkmoon Island again, ensuring I collected enough rings to see me through to the beach, and I made it there no worries:

I then flew from the beach towards the big hills, followed the inside of the cliff's edge (not the beach side) all the way around, back past the faire (I purposely left those rings until, last seeing that they were so close together) to the beach area at the left of NPC Fishing Trainer Steven Stagnaro and towards the NPC Darkmoon Rabbit's cave.
I turned and began flying above Rare NPC Darkmoon Rabbit's cave, on top of the hill and collected all of the rings along there until I reached the entrance of the faire gates next to where the NPC Selina Dourman stands.
I flew through the faire collecting all of the remaining rings and finally got the 50th almost directly above the NPC Ziggie Sparks, who hands out the original Firebird's Challenge quest.

Achieved Brood of Alysrazor and was rewarded with Blazing Wings in my bags instantly while still gliding to the ground!

Just did this on my own with no guides, routes, paths or anything from the web. Took me 7 tries but I finally got it.

It helps to set your Environment View Distance to "Good" or better. Also set your Effects Particle Density to "Good" or better as well. This will enable you to see the rings of fire at a further distance.

Make sure you are looking around while you are flying to the next ring that way you know which direction to go once you reach the ring. Pre-planning is a must for this achievement. Good luck all!

Helpful way to use the map:
1- Put WoW in Windowed Screen.
2- Have one half of your computer screen to be WoW and other half of it to be the browser's map.

Obtain: Blazing Wings right upon completing Brood of Alysrazor in your bags.
Learn it and possess your own ''Pair of Wings'', accessible via the ''Collection'' tab then under the ''Toy Box'' tab.

The use on it: Blazing Wings
Buff you as described:
(Blazing Wings)
(Master of the Firebird's Challenge)
(1 hour remaining)
and has 1 hour cooldown.

So personal speaking... If you don't die, as soon as it expire, you use it again. meaning wings will remain on your back for as long as you wish.
Stacks with the Legendary Back Wings and Prideful Shoulders Wings.
(if your looking at the right time, i guess you could have all 3 wings simultaneously) and make an awesome screenshot of your character.

Last thing: it appears at the first of the 11 current pages of the ''Toy Box'' since it's first letter name is a ''B'' for Blazing Wings
While you can always right click on it and set as ''Favorite'' to have it by the very first ones in your Toy Box's list.

I just completed the achievement with three other people flying around so the issue with the rings being shared seems fixed. The key was to turn up particle density in the graphics settings and view distance to good - especially the particle density is very important to see the rings clearly - and I studied the map posted here by clampy. Thanks :-)

This toy is a must-have in your collection :)
I failed on my first attempt with 47/50 with no more rings near me... second try I got this easily by just starting by going through the outer rings and saving the inner ones for later.

This was a very fun achievement to do! I didn't know about the toy reward, and I was seeing it around without knowing that it will be from this achievement!
It took me 2 tries to complete it! I found a total of 57 rings. Although the max stack will not go over 50 at my buff line!
All in all, a fun achievement to do, with a fun and nice toy!

Edit: A little higher than the Darkmoon Rabbit's cave, from that area there, there is a ring that is about 60% in the ground and its kinda easy to miss!

I tried it quite a lot on my hunter and kept getting in the 40's even hitting that 49 a few times only to rage as I couldn't quite reach the 50th. After relogging onto my druid I noticed that I was still receiving my +15% movement speed buff from the talent Feline Swiftness. This allowed me to get all 50 rings plus all the others I could find spawned on the island with relative ease.

Just a little tip for those of you looking to get the achievement with a druid :)

I recommend using Routes in addition to the TomTom waypoints.
With the addon you can create a route on your map so you have something like this link showing on your map. Then just minimize the map and make sure you have the setting "fade map while moving" turned on in your interface settings.

The result is something like this.
