This achievement is likely a tribute to Alterac Valley old quests (one of them). According to wowwiki, they were added in patch 1.5 and removed in 1.10.

As the achivement says, you have to remove the insignia of dead alliance players on Ashran to get those. You have a chance to loot each item from each different race. At least from the moment that I post this comment, almost all the alliance players are Humans. You won't have much problem getting Night Elfs or Draenei, but good luck with Dwarves, Pandas and mostly Gnomes.

Did anyone imagine a way to do this in its own ?
I thought about being alone in Ashran but apparently it's not possible and since i'm losing the roll every time, i'm kinda stuck in panda/gnome/worgen so far. (for weeks)

Seems Ashran has been changed to group loot from personal loot since Legion launched, so you will have to win a roll against 39 other people for each of these items, even if you are the one to find it on a body. Not sure if this change is intentional - this does not happen with any other class items or consumables that you loot.

With BFA quickly approaching, it's not likely you'll complete this quest in a timely manner rolling against 39 other people. However, there is a way of completing this achievement in a single Ashran visit. The method is as follows:

1. Purposely die and release spirit
2. While in ghost form waiting to resurrect, right-click the LFG icon on your minimap and 'leave battleground'
3. This will remove you from the group, but since you're a ghost you will not get teleported out of Ashran
4. When you resurrect, you will be free to participate in Ashran like normal, except now you're relieved of the group loot constraints imposed by the raid
5. Tag along with the rest of the raid, stay alive, and loot players

If you're quick to loot and don't die too much, you can have this achievement done within an hour or two as the racial PvP tokens have a pretty solid drop rate. The biggest obstacle I found to completing this achievement was the lack of Pandaren players, so if you manage to find one make a target macro and focus that player. Happy hunting!

You can 'trade' this achievement without entering/queuing ashran.

So assume you are horde and your partner is alliance, you are wanting to get the achievement first.

1) Your partner makes trial lv100 character for the race you need to loot and goes to stormshield, you also go to stormshied.
2) Go to the top most building of ashran from stormshield (and then warspear when its your partners turn to loot), you will NOT be booted out like you usually do however you can still loot the bounty hunter items.
3) Kill the alliance trial character and loot his corpse
4) Ally has to walk to the GY to stormshield from the top building and then fly back up (accept res sickness) to the building again.
5) Repeat steps 3-4 until you get the loot (usually takes 3-5 kills)

Assuming you made your trial characters in advance (you can only make 4 per hour), you should be able to get all 7 pieces within 20-30mins (each kill takes about 40seconds)

Rinse and repeat for your partner, both of you go to warspear this time when you are dying on horde.

General comment for people trying to do this in 2019 and beyond. This will largely be framed for people in the same boat as me, who do had a little dent in this in the original Ashran, didn't bother to do it when you could cheese it, and was stuck dreading sucking up and knocking it out one day. Turns out its nowhere near as bad as I expected and (I'll argue) far easier than the original Ashran.

Reasons why it's now harder -

1) Allied races. You no longer have the strict 7 pool of races that are part of the achievement but allied races as well, and you'll see less of the required races because of it.

2) Long queue times, short BG. Well, for my CRZ the long queue times are nothing new. As Horde I was waiting an average of 45 minutes during peak hours for the BG to pop. That, and Ashran is generally very short now. Many of the games were even shorter than an average normal sized BG game.

Fortunately, those are factors are heavily outweighed making it far easier overall -

1) No rolls! This is what I meant about framing and is meaningless to you if you've never done the original Ashran. You no longer roll for these items. That makes it MASSIVELY easier than the original where everyone in the raid would get a need or greed roll whenever one of the items dropped - and you would get some sort of reward for turning it in, so for virtually everyone there was virtually no reason not to roll. This is no longer the case and it's more like how you loot bodies in AV. Whoever loots first gets the loot.

2) Very few people will bother looting bodies. You won't have a whole lot of competition here, especially if you're spam clicking on the immediately deceased. Bodies out in the open will be more noticeable.

3) Ashran is effectively reduced to a tug of war. By this I mean 90% of games spend 90% of the time killing each other - and doing nothing else. No one will bother with bonus or side objectives or rares. It's a non-stop kill-fest until one side is finished, so this makes up for the shorter games by basically allowing you to work on your goal the entire time.

I don't know the exact drop rate. I would put it somewhere around 10%. I looted 20 Draenei before I got it, but also looted 2 gnome items in 10 loots. That's my best estimate.

I'm definitely a little biased about the ease as a DK main because I effectively get to tell the raid "Guess what, we're killing this specific guy right now." Still, the absence of rolls is a tremendous improvement and you shouldn't have too much trouble focusing on specific targets.

I looted a Draenei Tail off a Lightforged Draenei. Possibly a Dwarf Spine can be looted off a Dark Iron Dwarf?

Been quing for ashran for a few weeks now trying to get this achievement. I have the achiev on my monk I used to play, so I know how it works. Countless corpses looted, and all I've gotten lately is some copper and a grey item. No racial items. Did they change it so it no longer drops if it's not the old school Ashran? I know some of the achievs need to be done in the old version. Is this one now?

Im not sure who needs to see this but the items are deff not dropping since the patch, ive been grinding ashran games for a good month+ and I havent seen a single item from normal ashran and now spamming classic ashran brawl and over 50 corpses looted and still nothing. I was told by someone in my BG group that the NPC to turn them in has also disappeared. Not sure if thats right or not but has something changed or bugged? Its the last achiev I need for ashran and id love to knock it off and be done with this place. Any help/comments/experiences is very much appreciated and welcomed. TY

Please submit this achievement as a bug report in game guys, it is 100% bugged and multiple people ive encountered in game have suggested to report it as a bug, so the more reports the faster itll be fixed! TIA <3

Edit on 23/12/22 Dragonflight Season 1, Just did my first Ashran game in a random Epic BG and I was able to loot a Orc tooth, finally seems fixed and achievable again fellas! Good luck hunting

This achievement is now obtainable again in 10.0.2 in the Classic Ashran Brawl. Each item gave 2500 rep (+18% from the anniversary event for 2950 each turn-in). Even with a poor group, loot competition, and leaving once to dump my excess honor, I went from Neutral to Exalted in 3 hours total.

You'll still need (at most) 17 turn-ins without any bonuses to hit Exalted.

Nightborne Liver unfortunately dropped a lot which can't be turned in, but otherwise the drop rate is okay. Did not see anything drop from any Dracthyr, which were plentiful on the opposing team.

Has anyone been able to obtain item from Worgens? I got all of them within 10 kills and I have killed over 100 worgens and nothing, also used friends to reskill.
