These are found in the cave Thelgen's Rock. You do NOT need to be a miner in order to complete this. For every ore place though, there will be a spider.

I liked the old quest better, I think a quest for mining should require a trade in mining or the help of someone who is a miner.

I'm unsure whether or not this happens to other people but I'll post it here regardless as it happened consistently for me while doing this quest. As a Rogue I was unable to loot the Incendicite Ore with the Spark-Proof Pick if I did it while Stealthed. My character would simply play the looting animation without actually looting the ore.

The cave, Thelgen Rock, is located at 53.2 63.4. There are Lvl 21 and 22 spiders all around the area outside and inside the cave. You might have to go in quite a ways before you come across a node. I found 4 nodes, and 3 of them I could only hit once before it disappeared. Spiders will poison you with a 15 health point leeching poison that lasts for about 10 or 15 seconds (I didn't look at the time really). I also found 3 Tin nodes inside.

Also, I am a miner and did not actually know there was a quest for this ore. That's how I came to be here now. I was a level 75 miner before going into the cave, and the nodes were orange to me, allowing me to level up 1 point each time I mined. The ore is NOT soulbound.

Coincidentally enough, the spiders are the same spiders needed to get the Scorched Spider Fang's from for the Warrior quest "Fire Hardened Mail." You need 50 fangs and you will get either 1 or 2 fangs from each spider. So if you are a Warrior and you are seeing this before heading over there and have not gotten that quest yet, go pick it up and kill two birds with one stone.

Very weird, checking out my achievements and it says I haven't completed this. Slightly confused as I have had Loremaster of the Eastern Kingdoms since 2011 so why it's saying I don't have this I do not know. Just went and completed it and got my Wetlands Quest achievement.

Description

Thelgen Rock over yonder is something of a natural wonder. It's the only known source of incendicite in the world!

The stuff's rare, highly sought, and ridiculously explosive. Hit it with a steel mining pick and you'll set off a fireworks show that'll put a room full of goblins to shame.

Luckily, I've developed a spark-proof pick for such tasks. I'll loan it to you if you bring me back some incendicite ore, and I'll split you in on the profits, of course.
