Soloed as a 70 prot warrior, besides knockback he is as easy as those elites around him, used lgg + commanding shout+ 1x super healing potion, bandaged 2x, piece of (stone)cake

I've killed this mob solo with my Holy Alliance Paladin lvl 70 with lvl 63-70 gear.
The trick is to have judgement of light on him and then use seal of vengeance/judgement of vengeance to mitigate his damage. When a spawn appears, use judgement of light on the add and kill him with vengeance. Use consecration once or twice if you plan to use Divine Illumination.
When i killed him, i've used a major mana potion and the divine shield. Lay on Hands may be advisable when you're 10% life and 0% mana and Hammer of justice stun is best used for heals when there is no spawns alive.

Kited him along the road north of the Stormspire. He's immune to snares, but the knockback kept kicking me further in front of him, and he slows down when his HP gets low.

Soloed as 70 shadow priest, just keep doting, he is immune to fear, but if u got a health pot, you should be fine, and shield as much as u can

Soloed all but I think 3 of the group 2-4 (non mega) elites, this one was one of the tougher ones. Punting, stronger shards, and add potential. Easy I don't feel is accurate. There is little room for error.

Just have to be careful. There is a clear spot that only he and one wanderer go (his southern most stop)...recommend clearing the one wanderer first. Then pulling him to an area that can minimize fall damage.

Soloed as a 70 protection warrior without any consumables or commanding shout spam. Just stack block value and use shield block to wear him out.

Did it as a 70 holy pally.
I agrod him and pulled him wayyyyyy up the mountain to get away from his buddies. Blew all my cooldowns, had to LoH at the end and use a mana pot.
Finally I bubble hearthed when I killed him. The adds were too much for me :(

Easy as a BM hunter to solo,

pull him to the edge of his spawn area then send pet in and pop all cooldowns.

lay a snake trap and feign death when your mend pet pulls the adds

As an affliction lock, he's soloable. It's tough though, as he is fear immune. Just keep all your dots up and drain tank him, have voidwalker out for sac shield, healthstone when necessary, use howl of terror for his shardlings, fear for any pats that come by. Tank him with your back to the mountain so his knockback doesn't do too much evil; you'll probably aggro a pat here but that's ok.

Arena or BG honor gloves help a bit with the fear pushback resistance.

Soloed as a Demon Sac/Destro Lock without too much trouble.

Started with voidwalker, sent in voidwalker, DoTed him up, started shadow bolting, when i got agro, sacrificed (not demon sac, regular VW sacrifice) and continued shadow bolting. When shield wore off, FD summoned VW again and sacced again for another shield, and kept bolting him. When he went down i was about half health and i Howl of Terrored the little guys, looted and ran.

When i got outta combat i flew away.

soloed by new lvl70 BM Hunter.
Started with cooldowns for pet aggro. when he starts to shrink, pull the pet away so the mend pet (heal) can get your pet up again if cragskaar did a few crits. but the trick is, if u pull away while he shrinks, u wont get the small adds to aggro. out of the three or four adds. i just had one that i had to kill.

Soloable by combat rogue. Just use everything, Slice and Dice, Bladeflurry, Adrenaline Rush, Evasion, put in a 5 point Kidney Shot once Evasion finishes.

He does a knockback, hurling you quite a bit back. Make sure you have a clear area to be flung into, and use the time he needs to catch up to you (he's pretty slow) to bandage.

I was able to solo him as 70 lvl shadowpriest. Half of my gear was epic PvP, the other half was green/rare. I used Elixir of Major Shadow Power and 2 scrolls (I think Scroll of Stamina and Scroll of Protection are useful).

If you're a shadowpriest, try that:

1. Area must be totally clean!
2. Have your Shadowfiend ready for use.
3. Keep Power Word: Shield on yourself.
4. Keep Shadow Word: Pain, Vampiric Touch, Vampiric Embrace on Cragskaar.
5. Nuke him with Mind Blast and Mind Flay.
6. Let Shadowfiend to tank (just use Fade when you summon it).
7. Fear the shardlings by Psychic Scream as they appear. Don't attack them.
8. Try to run to other place when you fear the shardlings. It's a chance to leave them behind.
9. When you finish Cragskaar, you can run and leave shardlings and back to loot Farahlite Core as they dissapear.

It can be difficult, but if you managed to do it, you can easily kill Netherock http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=20772, Apex http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=19940 and other rock-like elites in Netherstorm (like Farahlite Giants) with the same tactic.

Solo'd as a 70 fire mage. Be prepared to blink away once he gets near.

If you get the chance to work combustion up to a high level, do so, and open with a pyroblast for the DOT effect a crit will give you. It's a matter of burning him down when one a mage, and every bit helps.

Just managed to solo as a 70 retr paladin, Gear wasnt best S1/Kara

Be sure to try position yourself so you get knocked back and dont aggro anything, i stood somewhere in the north.

I used a 1h and shield and piled seal of vegeance and kept using, i used the knock backs the boss did to do a quick bandage or use a pot, i stunned him before he summons an add (only once hammer of justice) i bubbled at about him at 50% and healed to most life and was basically oom at this time and was a close kill, used my BoP after a quick loot and ran away from adds at 700hp~, If your lay on hands is availible use it and it should be even easier, spec if your gears better than mine was.

As a 70 BM hunter with only one piece of merciless gear (the rest of it being gimpy quest rewards) this was pretty hard. Not just the one mob itself, but the adds KILLED me. I was able to solo this bugger all on my own down to about 35% every time before I got an add and was murdered. I finally got him dead as I had all the little baby giants and an add on my back, of course i died. I ran back and was able to loot.

Reasonably straighforward as a 68 BM Hunter in greens and blues. Just wait until he patrols near the path between the eco-domes, send pet in and attack. Call back your pet when Cragskaar spawns the first add, lay a freezing trap, Mend Pet, turn on AotC and run like hell for a few seconds towards the Stormspire. Send your pet back in and keep applying a low rank of serpent sting to hold aggro incase he resets. Your pet should regain aggro again with close to full health. Ensure that he has less than 50% health left (incase you need to pull him towards the guards if things get messy) and go towards the Stormspire lift. Cragskaar should now have a few adds, and the guards will take care of these. Pull Cragskaar towards the lift as well if necessary, although by this time he'll be weakened and addless and should be near-death (if things go right!).

Soloable by a blue/green-quest-geared L. 70 feral druid. Use the same strategy as you did for Netherock, Apex, etc.; maul+mangle it until it spawns it first add, kill the add, repeat the process for the second and the last add, and then kill Cragskaar itself. Be careful, though, as there are a lot of Farahlon Breakers around, so they might attack you also.
This has been the case for me. When I was about to finish off the second add, a breaker joined them. I've managed to kill Cragskaar, loot it and run away with 74 health.
Here's some tactics:
- Since it's stunnable, you can use your Bash ability to stun him and heal yourself
- Depending on the situation, you can either charge at it, or heal yourself when it throws you off. Charging gets you to it really faster, possibly allowing you to lengthen the lacerate/roar/FFF or mangle's time.
- If some other mobs, such as Farahlon Breakers, attack you, you can either run away, or continue tanking. I recommend continuing fighting unless it hasn't spawned yet. You can even start nuking it if you've already killed the second add. That way, you'll be tanking three mobs: Cragskaar, the third spawn, and the other mob that joined the mob. Don't forget to use your demo roar, and since you'll be generating a nice amount of rage, you can also use Frenzied Regeneration for some extra healing.

Solo'ed as a 68 shadow priest.You should have inner fire since it really softens his attacks.Start with vampiric touch and embrace, then use shadow word pain and devouring plague.keep these on him at all times.now your primary attack is mind flay since it refreshes pain.mind blast and power word shield are used when possible.use dispersion when out of mana.also fear the shardlings but only after he spawns two of them.shadow word death is used to finish him of.
You can use shadow fiend,but its not completely necessery.He also has that ridiculous knock back ability so know whats behind you and always move up to him after he uses it,since it can cause you to leave combat.

Relatively easy as a full Boomkin. Starfire him, Treants to occupy him, DPS him down. Had to down a health pot, and the adds killed me, but I looted in time.

Easily solo-able by Mages. Just burn him down; he has less than 30k hp. BG might help if you don't have alot of HP.

Soloed him as a lvl 70 BM hunter, all Merciless. Popped Bestial Wrath ( thus, Beast Within), my Core of Ar'kelos, and nuked him down. he was actually easier than the regulars! Involves little strategy. I pulled him to a little clearing and went a-nuking.

Just soloed as a level 70 Retribution Paladin, and it was really easy. He was actually easier than the other giants, he had less hp than the 70 elite ones. He does a knockback though but it's easily survived by standing with your back against something that keeps you from not flying miles away. Just try and stun him right before 75%, 50% or 25% and you will get one shardling less because he won't split if he's stunned at the percent passing.

Soloed as 68 Boomkin Druid, quite a rush ;D as it describes in the quest log he can be spoted by the larger Shard on his back comparing to the other giants in the area.
