I have been to this vendor several times and he only ever has the bracer recipe. Any idea how often it appears?

I believe this to be a random or alternating respawn every hour on the hour.
above posters must've purchased them at X:40 then again at X:00. It is either a random spawn between the bracer and helm or they alternate each hour.

Bought the bracers and the helm, as they both were available. Bought the bracers again after 1h 40min, however the helm was not there.

Camped the pattern for over 2 hours after i bought the bracers. From around 6am to now (8.10am), so WICKED respawn timer.

I camped the patterns for a while. I arrived at the vendor 4:47pm; he had a helm pattern, which I bought. I checked every couple of minutes after that. No patterns appeared until 5:32pm. At that point, another helm pattern appeared, which I bought again. No bracer pattern appeared during that period.

well, first recipe I got from the vendor was the helm, not at the top of the hour but about four minutes after. it wasn't on the vendor at the hour.

Unbelievable, I was just checking the drop rates of rugged leather because I didn't have any luck on any of the paterns this guy sells and decided to go to Blasted lands to farm rugged leather there and lvl my leatherworking skill using rugged leather, i had been in the area for about 2 hours checking up on him every 20 mins or so and thought I'd have one more look before going to Bl. lands, guess what? the helm dropped, now I'll just have to stay around for the bracers too.
If the other one drops I will post again, if not well then I just went to Bl. lands.

Haha about 70 mins after I bought the "Heavy Scorpid Bracers" pattern the "Heavy Scorpid Helm" was back, the "Heavy Scorpid Bracers" were too but about 15 minutes later.
I think a 90min. camp is all you need to score both patterns for sure but, Don't leave your post
There is a relatively short respawn timer on both items but with a random element.

I just got this pattern at 05:02 Server Time on Azjol-Nerub Server.

Picked up a 2nd one of these patterns at 49 minutes past the same hour waiting on the Heavy Scorpid Helm Pattern to spawn.

<Sigh> Picked up a 3rd one of these at 06:08 Sever Time. I wish this Bracers Pattern would spawn.

I can confirm this is still being sold. Got it today (7.3.2)

(pattern is still on respawn timer ofc, so you might need to camp the vendor for a (long) while)

So the and CAN be for sale at the same time. I saw both available at 7:03 AM EST on May 9, 2023. Check back every 15-20 minutes. You should see both or at least one.
