Return to board index

PLEASE ADD TO IT IF U CAN I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW MORE ALWASY WILLING TO LEARN
This post is about my stratigy on how to beat all other classes with a rogue, and your job to correct me if im wrong. I do not consider maself to be a leet rogue but i am not to be messed with.So first things first ma spec is 41/5/25 and i run with these Glyphs Evis., Vigor, and Multilate. Posions i always have on are Wound ans Mind-Numbing.
Mage: You want to sprint by and sap to avoid them catchin u in aoe by moving slow then open with garrote, Multilate twice then Rupture. Now here comes the tricky part if they ice block vanish and start over and if they use mirror image go for the middle image because that image will always be the real toon.
Pally: Ok pallys are a pain to kill but i am living proof that it can be done. Sap and Cheap shot then start to nuke if by the end of ur nuke or is they break stun vanish and sprint a safe distance away cause they will prolly bubble and aoe. Now while you are stealthed U want wait the bubble out and then nuke me again. sap, Cheap shot, Multilate x 2, Kidney shot, Multilate, Cold Blood Evis., Vanish, Cheap Shot, Multilate x 2, Evis. (Keep in mind that if they dont die by then u still have blind, Garrot and prep to save ya ass)
Druids: Druids Are cake outta bear form and 95% of the time you will catch them outta bear form pretty easy to kill keep it basic. sap, Cheap shot, Multilate x 2, Kidney shot, Multilate, Cold Blood Evis., Vanish, Cheap Shot, Multilate x 2, Evis., prep and repeat if need be.Now Bear form is diff you want to try and bleed them down and restealth as much as possible the damage from ya stun kill combo just isnt enough to take them down.
Locks: Not much to say here easy fight sap, Cheap shot, Multilate x 2, Kidney shot, Multilate, Cold Blood Evis., Vanish, Cheap Shot, Multilate x 2, Evis. The only thing u gotta worry about here is when they pop their trinket soon as you see it pop blind before they fear you or if they catch you in fear and dot you up pop your trinket , blind , cloak vanish and nuke them.
Hunters/Shammys: Same as locks but without fear just watch traps/totems and blind pet cake fight.
DeathKnights: I still need hel with them post if u know sometimes i kill them and sometimes i dont.
Warrior:Well tell me if im wrong I dont often fight them but i win when 80% of the time when i do. Sap stun them like locks and disarm.
Rogue: Well for this fight i highly suggest u get the auto sap macro because if you are fighting a equally leet rogue the first to sap will most likely win this is a fight amongst reatcion time and wits.
Helpfull tricks: 1) Night Elfs can vanish 3 times if Shadow Meld is used correctly
2) Rogues can use Blind as a oppurtunity to use a bandage when stuck in a pinch
3) Any rogue that can utilixe gouge is truly leet

So first things first ma spec is 41/5/25 and i run with these Glyphs Hunger for Blood, Vigor, and Multilate.
How do you expect to use HFB as going 41/5/25. you would be better off using glyph of TotT, CloS or eviscerate.

Sure, a rogue can beat any class but by using all our cooldowns...
I find Shadow Dance works better with any classes, but that's just my play style xD I love the 8k crits on a clothie...

I would change your "rotation" (what seems to be constant in you fights) just a little, and instead of starting a fight with opener, mut, mut, KS, mut, eviscerate.. instead do opener, mut, pause, KS mut, mut, eviscerate. this way you pool a little more energy while the target is stunned, and if you have imporved KS, you get a lot more damage from it. you should have 5 combo points from just KS and one mutilate anyway, no need to waist energy on overgenerated combo points to also do less damage. Also ensures a 5 point eviscerate.
edit, i also know rotation is the wrong word to use what talking pvp, i guess i should say ideal strategy.

Haha, yeah, thanks... forgot to mention pooling energy parts :D.
Also, any advice on how to beat a geared tree druid? I'm virtually clueless with all the hots.

FIRST OF ALL U DONT KNO WHAT YOU ARE DOING
... especially on mages u dont bleed them down most of them are now frost and u gotta break their ice barrier while CS or garroate silence is still on ... and then BAM CB evis right down to their throat. . . most mages
wait for their ice barrier to go down
because they want to freeze the crap out of you and then blink all u hav to do is blind(with your 10-20yd blind) i am sure they will ice block out of it (if they do they are BAD mages, good mages wait til the final moment JUST to refresh their CD on frost nova
and warriors... wow they can nuke with 8k dmg in 1 sec sap the hell out of them until they eventually berserker rage out... wait til its over
Like i said i dont know everything so i hope that wasnt pointed towars me i posted this to teach as well as learn

I'v dueled some warriors that trinket kidney disarm, hit me a couple times, then fear, nitro boots and running off you, and charge, blade storm and dead rogue if you didn't react.
I find better to put a bleed on them at the start, throw a low combo point kidney, he trinkets, I dismantle, he disarms, just try to move behind him, and them unload ur full energy on him, blind (wait for bleeds if you have any), if he fears instant trinket that. sprint and restart. (use bandage if he got lucky owning you with his disarmed hands.
Now I usually sap them so they blood rage and use blade storm trying to get a lucky hit on you, but of course I'm like 8 yards away watching him hit air (1 less cd to worry about, just in case), then just run back in and finish him off.
Thats how i beat 2k+ rating warriors full pvp gear, with me pve.
I usually save evasion for mistakes, or moments like oh, how did he did that?
Against pve locks, its just, ambush, cloak, mut mut, evisc and he is dead by now.
PVP geared I always find it better to gouge succubus just before the warlock uses the portal thingy, then nitro boots to lock and load more pain on him.
Against DKs, kinds like mindless attacking plus some stuns, but when he uses icebound fortitude use evisc or bleeds instead of kidney or gouge., I always pop evasion against unholy, seems to dodge his ghoul's stun.
Against restro druids, unload everything at the very start, stun lock, your goal is to make them trinket on fear of dying, then with their trinket down, its about pooling energy, and timing your attack with their hots, the idea is to at least get them half hp, without hots, then blind, bandage restart, and burn them down.
Only tried this as pve geared rogue.
Bear druids, put a bleed between the normal stun lock, vanish before he is out of stun. (the idea is to have a bleed on them, and have a clean restart, if they trinket, good, but leave before bleeds or vanish lock thingy) wait for energy, go in again, this time just before KS is over, they should have already used trinket one of your stuns, when your energy is down, blind them, and restart, if they use last stance, Just wait for it go go off. Saping them.
