Lifeblood, and what it means for Feral Druids

Lifeblood
Look at it. See it? That's the ability you get for taking Herbalism. It's pretty sweet. No, it doesn't scale with plus healing, and it can only be cast on yourself. So what's so good about it, you might ask? Why would a druid, who has so many
other
,
better
HoT's
? Why would you want to use a spell thats on a 3 minute CD and doesn't even heal for much?
Well, I'm looking at this spell from my point of view, a Feral Druid. And it's AMAZING. I'm really not taking
that
much
damge while I'm out soloing in kitty form. Every once and a while, though, I'm a little low on health, around at 95-80%.Usually, I'd have to pop out of cat form, and cast some healing spells, then pop back in a go back to
chewing faces
.
BUT. BUUUUUUUT. Now, I just cast Lifeblood. Lifeblood is useable in
all
of
our
forms.
It will NOT bump you out into caster form, cutting my personal "downtime" in half. And, as I've learned, it's even usable while
stealthed!
It doesn't break it!
I look forward to charging (or
leaping
as charge seems to be called now) into Northrend with this amazing spell at my side. Am I saying all Ferals should take herbalism to get this skill? No. Am I saying that if you have it, you can use it cleverly enough to make any "downtime" that you had before virtually non-existant? Yes. Use it well, my friends, as it's Blizzard's gift to soling for Feral Druids everywhere.

That's very nice. Thanks for posting about it! I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to be convinced to switch off of Skin/LW, but if I did, Herbalism would be what I switch for.

You're welcome. I think this is an essential ability that has been added, but people overlook it because of its cooldown or for its relatively low healing. It's just a "top-up" heal, and I think it's important for people to know how to utilize this properly. If not, they are waste a very valuable spell.

OP: I don't think people are giving you enough credit for your creative use of item links. Well done!

it also does not break stealth.

And since it's of the GCD, there pretty little combo out there
/cast
Lifeblood
/cast
Survival Instincts
/cast
Frenzied Regeneration
If you have
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40896
, you should change the order to
/cast Frenzied Regeneration
/cast Survival Instincts
/cast Lifeblood
/use Master Health Stone
/use Super Healing Potion
/use Fel Blossom
Seeing as all healing affects on you are increased by 20% when frenzied regen is going on, you can do REALLY well with a macro like this, since
none
of these use a GCD, and they all stack. I still have to figure out casting Barkskin, but that would involve a /castsequence macro, which I think are too clunky.

Well, and instantaneous pot or healstone
after
Frenzied Regen makes a huge difference; LB as a hot, not so much, but any of the pots matter what order you put them in. Just pointing it out to people, as well as some of the other "Oh Crap" items that don't share GCDs that stack.
It is indeed awesome.

Not all of us have two pieces of t5 nor are we in good enough gear to dodge and crit enough to negate every hit that an enemy can through at us. And I think I already stated that I wasn't plying that druids should drop their professions to get Lifeblood. This is just something of a guide/eye-opener on how to use it.

Thanks for the tip. I'm an herbalist and kitty druid and was not even aware of this spell. I used it last night and it came really handy, in a slightly tougher fight. Sometimes it's just enough to stave off having to shift out and cast a bigger heal.

So? Pretty much anything can proc that. I've got plenty of procs while CREATING bandages.
Highly situational and based on luck benefit.
Geez, touchy. I was just stating a fact.
