1. Treats and Goodies!
There are three major sources of fun, seasonal items with which you can celebrate Hallow's End:
Treat Bags
, Crudely Wrapped Gifts, and the
Headless Horseman
.
Treat Bags
can be obtained via
Trick or Treating
with the innkeeper of a friendly inn. If the innkeeper decides to give you a treat, he will award you a Treat Bag, which has a chance to contain a Flimsy Mask, Hallowed Wand, or candy. However, the innkeeper may instead opt to play a trick on you, typically shapeshifting you into a bat, cat, ghost or pirate. Once you have trick or treated on a character, you will gain the
Tricked or Treated
debuff which will prevent you from Trick or Treating for
one hour
.
A Crudely Wrapped Gift can be obtained after protecting a low level Alliance (Goldshire, Kharanos, or Azure Watch) or Horde (Razor Hill, Falconwing Square, or Brill) village from the
Shade of the Horseman
(see the Quests section below). The matrons located in these villages will ask for your aid in putting out fires in local buildings. When the
Shade of the Horseman
has been defeated, a large Jack-o-Lantern will appear on the ground that gives the quest
Smash the Pumpkin
(
Alliance
)
which can be turned in at the nearby Matron. The Matron will reward you with a sum of gold (
11 gold 99 silver
at 70) and a Crudely Wrapped Gift, which can contain candy, masks, or even riding brooms!
The
Headless Horseman
is a level 70 boss that can be summoned in the Graveyard of
Scarlet Monastery
. This encounter can be completed easily by a decently-geared 5-man of level 70 players. The quest to summon the Headless Horseman can only be completed once per day, per person. For more information check out the
section below
!
2. Candy Buckets
Candy Buckets can be found in every inn. Each bucket offers a one-time quest that can be completed and rewards a small sum of gold (
3 gold 75 silver
at level 70) and a
Handful of Candy
, which contains a small assortment of seasonal snacks. These snacks include Pyroblast Cinnamon Ball, G.N.E.R.D.S., Chewy Fel Taffy, and Soothing Spearmint Candy. Visiting all friendly inn buckets on continent will reward an achievement.

This achievement requires the completion of 11 particular achievements and awards the player title, "
The Hallowed
." The 11 achievements that must be completed are:
Trick or Treat!
,

)
.
A Mask for All Occasions
- Collect the 20 unique Flimsy Masks listed below.
For this achievement, you must obtain
every single
Flimsy Mask
. This will be a very difficult achievement to complete and thankfully is not a requirement of
Hallowed Be Thy Name
. The Flimsy Masks are bind on pickup, so in order to try and obtain all of the masks you should Trick or Treat as often as possible. Since there are a total of 20 Flimsy Masks required for this achievement, and the masks are a random drop, you may not be able to complete this one at least until next Hallow's End. May luck be on your side!
Bring Me The Head of... Oh Wait
- Kill the Headless Horseman.
This achievement is pretty straight-forward - simply kill the
Headless Horseman
in
Scarlet Monastery
. Please note that you must be of level 65 or higher to summon him, though it may be possible to achieve this at a lower level with a party of higher level characters.
Check Your Head
- Use Weighted Jack-o'-Lanterns to put pumpkin heads on each of the races listed below.
For this achievement, you must use a
Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern
on at least one of every Alliance and Horde race. The Jack-o'-Lanterns can be looted from the
Headless Horseman
or received in the
Crudely Wrapped Gift
available after defeating the Headless Horseman in one of the low level villages as detailed above in the
Quests
section. They are also rewarded from the related daily quest.
G.N.E.R.D. Rage
- Earn 50 honorable kills while under the influence of the G.N.E.R.D. buff. It's a slap in the face!
For this achievement, earn 50 honorable kills (total) while buffed by the Hallow's End candy
G.N.E.R.D.S.
. The candy is a just small defense buff so the achievement is really just a silly pun.
Out With It
- Eat so many Tricky Treats that you get an upset tummy.
Tricky Treats
"drop" from the
Headless Horseman
and offer a small speed boost in addition to eventually granting you an
Upset Tummy
.
Rotten Hallow
(Alliance) - Ruin Hallow's End for the Horde by completing Sergeant Hartman's quests which involve crashing the wickerman festival and cleaning up the stinkbombs from Southshore.
Complete the seasonal quests
Crashing the Wickerman Festival
and
The Power of Pine
.
Rotten Hallow
(Horde) - Ruin Hallow's End for the Alliance by completing Darkcaller Yanka's quests which involve going to Southshore, ruining the kegs with rotten eggs and tossing stinkbombs into the town.
Complete the seasonal quests
Stinking Up Southshore
and
Rotten Eggs
/
Ruined Kegs
,
Sinister Calling
- Obtain a Sinister Squashling pet and Hallowed Helm.
One of the most difficult achievements to obtain due to sheer luck factor, for this one you must obtain both the
Sinister Squashling
vanity pet and the
Hallowed Helm
off the
Headless Horseman
.
That Sparkling Smile
- Show off your sparkling smile by using a Tooth Pick.
Use a
Tooth Pick
, which has a chance to drop from the
Treat Bag
obtained via Trick or Treating.
The Mask Task
- Obtain a Flimsy Mask during Hallow's End.
Obtain a
Flimsy Mask
, which has a chance to drop from the
Treat Bag
obtained via Trick or Treating.
The Masquerade
- Get transformed by the Hallowed Wands listed below.
For this achievement, you must be transformed by each specific costume
Hallowed Wand
. The 'Random' wand will not count towards the achievement. It is best to trade costumes with other players who have the ones you want!
The Savior of Hallow's End
- Complete one of the quests to save a village from the Headless Horseman.
For this achievement, you must complete one of the quests to save a burning village from the
Shade of the Horseman
- either

A Mask for All Occasions - Collect the 20 unique Flimsy Masks listed below.
For this achievement, you must obtain every single Flimsy Mask. This will be a very difficult achievement to complete and thankfully is not a requirement of Hallowed Be Thy Name
On my achievement screen, under Hallowed Be Thy Name, it lists A Mask For All Occasions. It doesn't list The Mask Task but it's given that if you have all the masks that you'll also have that achievement.
Tigole stated that the achievement
A Mask for All Occasions
has been removed as a meta requirement for
Hallowed Be Thy Name
, and this change will go live in 3.0.3. (

is not a breadcrumb quest.
I don't know if this happened for anyone else, or just my group, but each member of my group turned in this quest, used their summon, and that was that.
Fixied!

Where is "Shadowmoon Valley, Aldor or Scryer Inn?" I can't figure out where I'm supposed to be going.
Thanks.
There is a Inn, depending on your status with Aldor or Scryer in SMV. The Scryer one is Sanctum of the Stars (southwest of Black Temple), and the Aldor one is Altar of Sha'tar (northwest of Black Temple).
Post by
Wanderingfox
it's referring to the two faction inns.
If you're scryer you need to go to the sanctum of the stars, if you're aldor you need to go to the alter of shatar.
