To give you some idea what we're looking for, I'll start off.
I've been a horde player pretty much since my first week...but my very very first character was a human warlock, named Jerekhail. He's long-since gone, but Northshire Abbey was the first in-game location I saw.
Northshire
, for those who've never been there, is a quiet and peaceful section of the game--despite the infestation by bandits. I got my character up to level 7 in my first day of playing, before I decided it was time to go and visit bustling
Stormwind City
.
I don't know about you, but the music in a game has a lot of effect on me. So the first time I walked through those gates into the
Valley of Heroes
, and I saw the statues of the heroes that had gone before me--heroes I had controlled in
Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal
--all while this angelic choir sang this tremendous emotional theme...forgive me if I get a bit misty-eyed, but I'll never forget it.

My favorite moment has to be when my guild first killed Domo in MC and we got to start the event to summon Rag, I was blown away when he burst out of the lava. So epic in comparison to anything I had seen in a raid before then. Of course we promptly wiped to Rag almost instantly but it was still amazing.

My favorite moment was taking screenshots in Zul'Gurub for the Spectral Safari contest. I had about 15 guild member hijacked and impatiently waiting as I directed where they should stand, what they should aggro and making everything look pretty for the camera. After multiple attempts at a perfect "Safari!" shot, we were all rolling in laughter from the silly things we could do with it.

I do say that my most memorable event from WoW would have to be my first Raid upon the Molten Core. It was intense, a very long time ago before TBC came out. It was the first 40 man raid instance and it was quite unknown to many in my guild. Getting 40 people on at one time was a feat in itself. Getting them all to shut up on vent while other people were trying to say things that were important... well that's another story.
It wasn't all bad, though. Aside from the numerous server problems, rollbacks on downed bosses (oh yeah, i'm serious. we did lucifron twice), and having to re-clear a large amount of trash due to respawns, it was probably the most fun i've ever had in any raid experience ever, and i will never forget it.

My favorite WoW moment brings me back to Vanilla WoW with the 40 Man Naxx.
We had been attempting Noth for a few hours at this point and we had pretty much successfully gotten the routine down and we're positive we could get him down in the next attempt. It was pretty late though so everyone was getting a bit tired and our wait line was empty. We get ready to pull - ready check. One of the priests is AFK - Loe. On vent we ask: "Loe, you there man we really wanna get this going". Silence. Suddenly out of nowhere we hear this tackling noise followed by "Get on the ground, get on the $%#ing ground". A few more minutes of smashing, cursing and eventually the officers unplugged the computer and confiscated it as well. We couldn't stop laughing and called the raid. Eventually we got the full story of his room mate worked for Best Buy and had lost a few hard drives with important information and was accused of possible Identity theft and they took anything that could hold information in the Apartment.
Still one of my favorite raiding stories from the old days =].

Ah, my favorite moment in wow would have to be, back when my first character was about mid-level, which was a hunter, i just got feign death and was showing off. when i feigned death a druid came up to me and wasted a battle rez. Me and a good in-game friend were laughing our heads off.

My favorite moment...
I was a level 38 hunter questing in STV i was on the north coast(this is on a PVP server) and a level 40 enhancement shaman came up and we started to fight. It was dragged into the water. As we danced around I viper stung him oom so he healed every chance he got. Me being BM spec had 2 CC intimidate an trap. I used my frost trap every chance i got so i could use a band-aid. then stunned him and swam back to viper sting. He was casting lesser heals every chance he got. This fight lasted for about 5-6mins. Its the most epic fight i ever had. Then we both made landfall and stopped bowed and parted paths. In all my days of playing that server I never had a fight like that. I sat at the edge of my seat the whole time and was shocked afterwards.
If only all pvp encouters were as fair and epic as the one i had on that day. But that was back when TBC first came out I hope WotLK will start to bring back memorable moments like that.

My favorite WoW moment is stepping foot in Elwynn Forest at level 8, I'm a Gnome, so I could sneak by mobs and they would never find me. ^_^
