As explained in a previous post by tecnobrat, there is not a Russian based World of Warcraft client yet. Once Blizzard finishes up with the Russian translations and releases the game to Russia, then I'm sure the ru.wowhead.com site will be right around the corner. :)

Today, Blizzard announced the russian beta test for World of Warcraft. It starts next week and will end a few weeks after the release of 2.4.3. After that we'll se a russian client and maybe a russian version of
www.wow-europe.com
. The russian wowhead isn't too far away now ;)

I am worried not about interface of the site, but the database data. Because in russian client, we have russian quest names and can't get original english name... so it makes impossible to find a quest or an item.
P.S. There's already alpha version of the client and 3 realms are on the fly. And as mentioned, test will enter beta phase with 2.4.3 patch which will bring more than 100000 improvements to the translations.

We haven't actually been translating the database data--we've been gathering it by using the Wowhead client to gather data normally on the Russian version of the client. If you want a Russian version of Wowhead, then run the
Wowhead Client
on the Russian version of the game, and that will get us started. :)

Well, looks like wowhead client doesn't want to look in \Cache\WDB\ruRU directory... only takes data from \Cache\WDB\enGB...

Perhaps it is because it is a beta version (I mean the game). What Wowhead-client do you use?!
Edit: I collected some interesting links for the russian players. First of all Blizzard launched the
official russian message board
together with an
english FAQ about the russian World of Warcraft Version
. A little bit older is the
russian welcome site
.

Yeah, I knew it all ;)
And everyone at that forum worried about russian wowhead and addons... =)
About wowhead client... I've just downloaded a fresh one about 10 hours ago...

I mean .. do you use the windows version of the client or the mac-version? If you use the mac-version, you can post your "problem" in the mac-os client bug thread.
Sadly, I can'not speak or understand russian so I can't help filling wowhead with russian data. But i think there are enough russian players out there. Everybody should use the wowhead client ;)

Oh... It is a wondows one. I have WinXP pro 32-bit.
Anyways, I think it's not worth to collect data right now since there are huge pack of changes in patch 2.4.3. But I think we'll need it right after the patch ;)

Let's wait for an update. :=)
