Nice!
I saw your update concerning the changes to Devastate and their impact on the opening attack pattern.
I have been hearing from other warriors that because of this change, some are now able to negate the 2 points for Imp. Bloodrage (though I personally would have to play without it to choose)...though, once you have enough +defense I can't see why not drop 2 points from Anticipation.
It sure does seem to me that you will end up with it anyway because you
must
have 5 points in the first tier of Protection...so, unless you're in need of the +defense...I don't really see an underlying advantage concerning this.
Your thoughts?

Oh, I agree. I was looking at my old talent build the other day & realized I could drop at least 2 points from Anticipation easily and still maintain over 490 defense. When I get back in the game soon, I will probably drop Imp. Bloodrage due to the Devastate changes (it's more of a bonus now, than ever before). This actually would allow a little freedom to pick between the last 2 points in the first tier (bonus rage or bonus avoidance?) depending on your gear status.
I think it's important you keep that buffer in there to allow for gear changes, however there comes a point when you can afford to remove some of the points.
I'm also a
very
avid proponent of mitigation over avoidance, so you'll have to excuse me, hehe.

Thank you for clearing up the confusion, Yakra. I am a strong proponent of mitigation over avoidance. If your gear supports it, you gain more freedom in what you're able to do. For a primarily non-raid protection warrior, my talents require a slightly different perspective on what will prove useful. I believe Yakra covered this issue as well in the guide (see the part about how some talents are useless against some bosses, for example).
im working on my 1st warrior and fast question when's a good time to spec prot? i was told to wait til 70 to speed up lvling but i want your opinion... my warrior's 58 atm arm's spec and i have a helluva time trying to stay alive in hellfire so should i go prot?
thanks BTW nice guide its answered so many questions i had
I agree with Yakra for the most part. I also leveled as Fury after TBC on my way to 70, though I went ~15 protection & tanked every dungeon on the way (except maybe Crypts). The difference in ability to complete quests as 4x Fury was quite noticeable compared to full protection. I tried to push myself to learn tanking the hard way, before I go into Protection, but I digress. =) This isn't my memoirs.

Imp Demo Shout (2/5, Max useful on a raid boss)
I'm curious what the reasoning for this is. Are bosses capped on the amount of attack power you can debuff?

Just a note, having a warlock apply Curse of Recklessness will allow Imp. Demo. Shout to work it's magic higher than 2/5 points.
I don't think it's as practical (at least for entry level raiding) for this to be counted upon, not to mention it could potentially obstruct a talent build.

Lions & Tigers & Bears - Oh, my!
-----
You should definitely check out the couple links I always throw around (credits to Berentor), but I've made at least two posts this week on gear...
Here's the most recent:
http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=9423&p=82717
& on progression a few days ago:
http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=9240&p=82694
Feel free to hack (my posts) above to pieces!
I'm planning on implementing basics about the combat table & crushing blows soon with professions (one day, lol). I hope I'm not crossing any boundaries with the former, *whistles_innocently*
