The Chronicles of the Empire
Introduction:
My name is Mojo Stormstout. I am the Imperial Historian and Loremaster of the Pandaren Empire. In the following pages, I, with the aid of Chieftain Marn Thunderhorn and Loremaster Theresa Wolf of the Kirin Tor, have compiled a condensed history of the Pandaren people and the Pandaren Empire. I would like to thank them for their aid. Without these people providing me with the necessary materials in tomes, letters, manuscripts, and various other sources of information, this book would be much more limited in it's content than it already is.
Also, I would like to thank the readers of this text. Without your thirst for knowledge, this book may never have come to fruition. From the most humble of librarians, I thank you.
Thirdly and lastly, I would like to thank my brother, Chen Stormstout. Without your travels invigorating the spirit of the Pandaren people and the Empire as a whole, the wealth of knowledge we have collected may never have been seen by those who had not already experienced it.
Table of Contents:
Compendium I: The Tribal Era
Compendium II: The National Period
Compendium III: The Early Imperial Period
Compendium IV: The Imperial Expansion Age
Compendium V: The Silver Age
Compendium VI: The Exodus from Kalimdor
Compendium VII: The Founding of Pandaria
Compendium VIII: The Golden Age
Compendium IX: The Age of Exploration

Well, here it is, not completely right now though.
This isn't your typical fan-fic. This is going to be a master thread for a more in-depth history of the Pandaren than the
one I wrote
for the
Create Your Own Warcraft Lore
Thread. I got inspired to do it from re-reading what I had written, from the
Travels of New Azeroth RP
, and from
Queggy's new story
.
I haven't started working on each Compendium yet, but I've got the outline plotted for each section, so be on the lookout for them. Please know that something like this will be taking a ton of research and revision on my part, so don't expect each Compendium to come out in a timely fashion... I may have to rework some things to help coincide with the game lore, especially in the early history.
Note: I will not be using GoogleDocs for this, so the formatting won't make your eyes bleed... hopefully. I'll be writing these in threads.

Holy crap, I just got done editing and I get 3 responses?
From furbolg to pandaren?
Sorry to say, but no. I was going to try and come up with some stories of origin for it, but I just couldn't think of anything.

But, but, but....Bearmen... How can they not be related in some way...

Well, they might be, but I just couldn't figure out anything to put in for origin stories.
After all, we don't know if Night Elves actually descended from Trolls do we?

And I still suspect that goblins originate from that lineage too. If it's true of course.
Some thing I found on the Furbolg page on Wowwiki:
They lived on Azeroth before Titans came to the world. Their oral histories speak of the first time Titans stepped on the world and roamed the wilds. Furbolg may have descended from early pandaren who settled up in Northrend, becoming more feral; or furbolg of Northrend may have discovered Pandaria and their culture became more contemplative.
And something off the Ursoc and Ursol page that interested me:
Ursol carved statues made of dead trees, while
Ursoc was fond of brew

Funny you should mention Ursoc. I actually had a thought to make the origin story centered around him. But, as I said... I just couldn't pull that one out of the old brain.

It's on it's way. I'm working on the first Compendium right now.
Oh, by the way, each Compendium is going to be split up into four sections.

I figure I can open this thread as a Q&A of sorts.
If you have any questions about the Chronicles of the Empire, ask them here.
I will not reveal spoilers.
