Should I play any MMORPG just for Soloing and don't bother having friends?

It's been a while since I stopped playing World of Warcraft mainly because I don't like the idea of playing a multiplayer type game on my own, while I level any character without people to make friends with, recently I've looking up in all these various forum posts that people have made and including my own a few times before and for absolute reasons unknown this turns out to be the norm, I'm not sure this is just WoW but if it's the same for all MMORPG's then I'm speechless.
That brings me to my main question, "Should I play any MMORPG just for Soloing and don't bother looking for friends?"
Another thing is higher level dungeons and raids are too hard so I'm going to avoid raiding all together so no high level dungeons for me, yet is only soloing in a MMORPG really worth it and once you get to max level, what is there left to do?

Nothing. Except for achievements, but if that isnt your thing, you're outta luck.
That's not good. =(
Why play a game on your own that you have to pay for every month, that doesn't sound right to me at all.

Also, I just have to say, this is an MMO. You are SUPPOSED to play with other people. If you want to play on your own, then I would suggest playing something else. (Ex. Dragonfable)
I'm not saying grouping is bad (it's normally pugs that are bad), I'm saying your forced to be alone while you level and I have real problems looking for people who would like to be my friend. To me it sounds like you have to solo at 80 as well.

I don't think the posters have understood the question. (Well, I think not)
Let me try to answer you.
When I started WoW, I had no friends that played with me. None at all, I just saw and ad and started. Once you start leveling, and meet people (and your guild mates), you will literally begin to unconsciously add people to your friend list. Normally you meet them often.
Well I could give WoW another chance but since guilds don't want me anyway then that's the way it has to be I guess.
Friends are very rare imo.

There are a large number of guilds that exist for purely social reasons. If you don't like to raid, then of course you won't want to join a raiding guild, and they won't want you either, but I can guarantee that unless you're a jerk there are guilds out there that will accept you.

Meh... I like being able to do what I want to do when I want to do it.
I am an officer in a casual guild that doesn't really require me to do anything to stay in the guild... or even to be an officer.
I am an officer because I act like an adult and I won't put up with crap... which is why the two GLs (guild leaders=GM=Guild Master) like me being an officer.
I can still play the game while never grouping with anyone, and I sometimes get upset when I log onto the game wanting to do something and a guildie asks me to do something else for them.
I don't think I have never said no in a rude way, but I grumble to myself all the while doing it.
If you are playing WoW only to make friends then more power to you... I also sense that if you are playing WoW to make friends because you don't have any friends outside of the game then there is a bigger problem you need to take care of...
I play WoW for myself. If I find people who don't act stupid then great, but I am not sure if anyone I know on the internet I would label as a friend... aquaintance, yes... friend... no.
Maybe I am old and I see friendship totally different than younger people, but .... I see "friends" as people who I would purchase real items on real holidays for... and not have to send said items to a person I only know from the internet.
Like I said... if you are only out to play ANY game just to make friends then maybe you need some sort of help outside of the game, and if you want to talk to other people... download AOL... it's free now if you have an internet connection already and stay off of the trade channel trying to get friends by trolling. When people badmouth, or even acknowledge you on the trade channel it doesn't mean they are you friends.
MMOs I have played: WoW, WAR, LOTRO, DDO, EQ2, FFXI, Conan, Vanguard, SWG... and I think I might be forgetting a couple... and I see the people I have met in guild-type clubs and partying I look back and I still see no one that I would consider to be a friend.
On the other hand, I have known a specific group of people on the net since 1996... I see them online almost every single day and I consider them to be really close aquaintances, and not friends. I can ask any of them and they would say the same thing.

Personally, the only friends I have in WoW are people who I've brought into the game with me...
I can't think of more than a handful of people in my entire MMO career (heh... career) who I have been friends with solely in-game... And even then, it was more a tolerance of other peoples friends/guildmates/whatever than anything else.
But in your case, if you cannot get some actual friends to pony up and play with you, then you can probably get into some type of guild and see if you're a more sociable person than I am.
There are always guilds out there recruiting... its just a matter of showing them that you're worth the effort and time to get to know.

Yes it is pretty much the same for every MMORPG.
..when I started wow I didnt went on hunting for friends, however; through raids, heroic parties, bg raids and group quests groups I found many people who added me without asking and became good friends. =3
consider hard high level dungeons is the main reason we commonly created a word known as "PUG." Which makes it alot eaiser sometimes if everyone knows their jobs.

the thing about it thats great, is that you have so many choices of what to do, if you DONT want to interact with people. However its nice that there are people there to meet and interact with if you ever change your mind about being antisocial.

If soloing is fun enough to make you want to play that "any MMORPG" rather than some other game, then yes you should play that MMORPG.
And if soloing in WoW is so much fun that you can pay 15 bucks a month for it, then you should play WoW. Unless some other MMO is even more fun of course...
Nothing. Except for achievements, but if that isnt your thing, you're outta luck.
Battlegrounds. The most fun
I
have in this game and perfectly soloable.
